I worked at this nursing home today and was deeply concerned about the conditions. There were no proper supplies available — no linens, residents being wiped with paper towels, and the gloves provided were for food service, not medical use. No soap for showers, showers are disgusting and not sanitary. Paint peeling off the walls in room, dirt all on the baseboards so thick it looks as if they’ve never been cleaned. The floors are terrible. I felt very dirty, unsafe, and sad for the residents. Staff were rude and unhelpful, and I was assigned to a hall without any orientation or information about the residents and their care needs. One nurse was decent but they wouldn’t even let me take a lunch until 2:00pm (I got her at 6:00am & leave at 3:00pm). I was assigned to the hall by myself with two person assists & lift patients. I kept having to go ask for help & then they were frustrated at me for asking. The lack of proper PPE and basic care materials creates a serious safety risk for both residents and staff. In my professional opinion, the residents are not being properly cared for and are in danger under these conditions. I would not recommend this facility to anyone seeking safe or quality care for their loved one

Excellent!! We moved my mother and father to the Broken Arrow Nursing Home about 6 months ago and couldn't be more pleased with the care they are receiving. Night and day difference compared to what we experienced at their prior, corporate owned assisted living facility. We've been so impressed with the nurses, aids and support personnel that we've met. Every time we visit or speak on the phone it's obvious that they really care about my parents. They don't have the turnover like we experienced in the past. My parents have had the same nurses and aids from the start. This is so great because they have really gotten to know my parents. Also, we always get a quick answer to any question or concern. I could easily call the owner if I ever needed to. Again, night and day improvement compared to what we experienced before moving here. The food is amazingly good. I believe that most of it is made from scratch. It's country cooking that my parents grew up on and love. So much better than what they were getting before in the "fancy" assisted living facility they were in. It's obvious that the reason the BANH stands out is because the owner and her daughter have been running this place for many years. They are there, working on site very day. Just visiting with them you quickly see how much they care about their residents. For the first time in ages I no longer worry about my parents. My mother and father are happy here and I know they are being well taken care of.

My mother was her from 2010-2013 and she was happier there vs not being active at home. She played a variety of games daily and made many friends. The caretakers were always there for her. Great staff, they are definitely there to please and help others.

My husband's grandmother was a resident here 20 years ago. Now my husband's mother is a resident here. I don't know what is driving these awful reviews because it is clean, it doesn't smell, the caregivers are wonderful, the food is excellent, and the residents themselves will give you glowing reports of their caretakers. My mother-in-law had hospice called in almost immediately. Our family has never been treated with anything other than absolute respect and dignity and our loved ones with great care and concern. They have bent over backwards to accommodate our requests. _ P. Sorensen

I am very pleased with the care my Mother received here. The staff cared about her deeply and did the best they could to make her stay comfortable and enjoyable. I recommend the Broken Arrow Nursing Home to anyone looking for a place to put their loved one who needs special care.
