Eskaton Village Carmichael is by far the best in-patient rehab facility I’ve experienced, for many reasons. The facility itself is beautiful, clean, spacious, warm and inviting. The shared rooms are very large, spacious and fully furnished, with a comfortable bed. I enjoyed the company of roommates, without feeling cramped and crowded, or feeling like I had to sacrifice my privacy. The food was great, and well presented! I enjoyed eating in the dining room with my elderly roommate and we both really enjoyed the food. And there is plenty of it! I’m a vegetarian and was happy to see they offered a good selection of tasty vegetarian options. I really can’t say enough about the PT and OT team. I am so incredibly grateful for their expertise, support and encouragement! I could not have done it without them! The medical and nursing staff were superior. They were all so very patient and kind, and I felt like they always took all the time I needed, even though I know they are very busy people! I guess in a nutshell I could say that my stay at Eskaton felt very safe, comfortable and inviting. Very much like visiting well-loved family. I am happy to be back home, but grateful for Eskaton Village Carmichael being there in my time of need.
It's been good but we were there last Friday and the guy would not let us play bingo with my mom and the others even tho it would make for bigger pots when someone wins. Always played before don't understand it. Her Care is good tho.
My wife and I started looking for a staged living community 4 years ago. Knowing that one, or both, of us would likely eventually fail and require professional care, we decided one of these places was the way to go. We knew we didn’t want to ever be in the situation where we would have to move in with one of our children and totally disrupt their lives. We looked at several places in the Rocklin, Roseville area and liked Eskaton the best, by far. Their campus in Carmichael is beautifully maintained, the residents are amazingly warm, welcoming and happy and so we decided that none others were even close to being as desirable. Unfortunately, my wife passed away, leaving me alone. In many ways I didn’t feel ready to move but, as the months passed, , I realized I needed to move to Eskaton for several reasons. I knew I needed more social interaction and I wasn’t feeding myself healthily. Here, I am assured of a healthy, balanced diet and there are more than enough activities and clubs to keep me and my brain active. I still have moments when I’d like to be back in my old neighborhood, but I really know that I made the right decision in coming here.
It is with great satisfaction and appreciation that I write this review on behalf of the staff at Eskaton. Recently, my mother needed some assistance in order to maintain her independent living arrangement as she recovered. With the help of Daisy Absalon RN and Lori Loftmiller we were able to enlist on-sight help from the Eskaton Medication Administration Tech program and Helping Hands. Although Daisy and Lori were immeasurably helpful in the initiation of these programs, it is the staff who carry them out on a daily basis that truly makes the difference! As a daughter who lives out-of-town, I am sincerely grateful to Medication Tech’s Jinah, Alice and John and Helping Hands aid Jaz. Each of you have shown kindness, patience, cheerfulness, and compassion when interfacing with my mother. Thank you Eskaton staff for the exceptional care you provide, it doesn’t go unnoticed. Sincerely, Lisa A. Martin
My husband and I have lived in the Village for 10 years. It is a very comfortable home among a community of friends. The staff is attentive and supportive of all the residents, while the residents are engaging and actively involved in shared activities and interests. We are very pleased with our decision to make this our home.
