About

Peak Resources - Pinelake – Medicare Certified Since 1992

My name is Harold P. Nunn, President of Peak Resources and related skilled nursing and rehab facilities. First, I would like to thank you for visiting our website and I hope that any and all of your questions will be answered. We currently operate nine facilities located in central and western North Carolina. Founded in 1999, we are a North Carolina family owned and operated Company, with a mission to serve the nursing and rehabilitation needs of the communities in which we are located. We continually strive to enhance the quality of the lives of our residents, so that they may return home to their families. We also assist families with the difficulties in dealing with the end of life stages of their loved ones. Our Staff: At each of our facilities, we are proud to employ highly skilled staff, which is responsible for the direct care of your loved one. We have a no-tolerance policy for substance abuse and each staff member is subject to random screening to ensure adherence to this policy. We also perform criminal background checks to ensure the safest environment for our residents. We are proud to say that our current staff-to-resident ratio exceeds standards set by our governing agencies. Continuing Education: At each facility we employ a staff development coordinator, and have an extensive training program that all staff members attend. This ensures that our staff continues to maintain the skills and knowledge necessary to provide the highest quality care for your loved one. Corporate Oversight: We have a dedicated corporate management team that is comprised of myself, an operations manager, finance director, nurse consultants, and environmental director. Other corporate personnel are available to support both the corporate team and each facility with any operational needs. We visit each facility weekly, performing facility reviews as well as an annual peer review to ensure that each facility is in compliance with the many regulations that we are governed by. Therapy Services: At each one of our Peak Resources buildings, we have a therapy team that is trained and qualified to provide an extensive array of therapies to help your loved ones. Therapy is provided up to 7 days a week and includes functional support by Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech Therapists. Our goal is to ensure that our residents are cared for and provided th

4.5 Stars from me! This was the first time I had to spend time in a rehab for wound care and IV antibiotics care. I witnessed hard working employees inform me of everything and give me the nursing care the doctors asked for. The team worked hard with what they had to take good care of me. I am 50+ and like my comfort a certain way while being nursed and doctored back to the best health, these guys really took care of me. Even the Occupational and Physical Therapist have a great work out room to get the therapy done and I enjoyed getting to know them too! I did have a hiccup for a day or two with getting my food order info and communication straight. The menu was good and everything was edible. I had no problem with this staff of nice people and work ethic was good. Rehab stay was good for me.

I have dealt with the staff at Pinelake many times over the years, through watching the professionals help friends in Rehab, and watching the professionalism of the nurses become extended family to me while my grandmother was there at the end. The kitchen staff and house keeping were first rate and made myself and my family feel like we were an extension of their family. I whole heartedly recommend this facility and more importantly I recommend the staff of Pinelake.

Our 97 year old Grandma suffered because of the poor decisions made by the owner of Peak Resources. He was accepting patients who had tested positive for Covid and allowing them to come into and stay at the facility. Our Grandma, along with many others, contracted Covid and died. When she was taking to the hospital in October, the doctor said she was severely dehydrated. She had been in her room for days and hadn't been given water. I would not recommend this facility. They always lost her clothes and were always short staffed. We not only lost our Grandma, but we lost others who we considered family at Peak. :-(

PEAK of Pinelake is a great place to be. It’s incredibly well rounded and solid in what it has to offer the community. Don’t let the quiet relaxed sprawled out building next to the duck pond fool you, From the Kitchen to Therapy, it runs like a well oiled machine. Short term rehab is excellent here. They are able to accomplish higher level activities, increasing their ability to function and the likelihood of returning to prior levels.
