Our mother experienced every level of living at Meth-Wick during her nearly ten years there. From independent living at Deer Ridge, to her final months at The Woodlands. Each stop was a new, refreshing experience, and for the most part, a blessing. Her final few months at the Woodlands could not have been better. Kudos to nurse Chris, and his entire staff on Mom's Woodlands wing. They were simply the best, especially as they combined forces with the wonderful Hospice folks during her last days of life. Our family gives Meth-Wick five stars, without any hesitation.
As an Agency nurse, I've been to many facilities in the corridor. METHWICK is by FAR a 10 star! EXCELLENT pt care! CLEAN environment, free of bad odors! These guys exceed staffing expectations and the director and DON walk around to ensure all is well with residents AND staff. I bet that's why the morale here is AMAZING! I also work in hospitals ad well and by far would choose Methwick over ANY other facility to put my loved ones! Kudos to putting residents safety and dignity first. I'm wowed!
Wedding ring was stolen from my mother right before she passed away.... Staff right away wanted to put the blame on the family... care is supposed to be 24/7 at Methwick. Documentation at the facility is lacking...Methwick should be held accountable for the person they hired who took advantage of my mother in her vulnerable state!
The largest Assisted living communities in this area. Meth-Wick Community Is the finest in Iowa. The Staff here is abosolutly outstanding, You will discover this when you visit this beautilfull facility. When I am unable to live on my own, I will be taking a closer look.
We have been given the runaround since April, being told our parents have a room by one person only to be told by another that "Opps" no thats not available for you. Than we were brought in and asked for a deposit as a room had opened, but a week after receiving our deposit, we were denied that room due to medical restrictions. That has been 4 week ago and we have not received our deposit back. Today we get a call saying that our parent's are no longer qualified financially, however their finances have not changed, other than the fact that Methwick is holding some of it. The management there is a JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would give them a negative if I could.
