Our family had a great experience at Lakes of Clermont. The nurses and caregivers were caring, patient, and always ready to help. The facility staff listened, answered questions, and provided frequent updates throughout my father stay. The facility was clean and the environment was calm and welcoming. Thanks to the professionalism and compassion of the entire team.

The nurses and aides are understaffed and over worked, wait time for assistance is excessive. That being said. They are professional, caring and attentive. The non medical staff for the most part lacked supervision. I observed many of them just roaming the hallways or engrossed in their cell phones and sometimes just gossiping. The exception was the people cleaning the rooms who were outstanding. My biggest displeasure goes to food service . Most days the food was inedible, but the worst part was it was served cold. The meal carts would be delivered to each hallway and sit for 10 to 15 minutes until being disbursed, and then the empty trays would not be picked for hours. The facility management leaves a lot to be desired. Finally the OT’s and PT’s were the exception to the rule, outstanding, professional and well trained, without them the stay there would have been unbearable.

I am an uber driver and was dropping off a client. As I am going up the hill a golf cart from the facility goes in front of me . The golf cart parks in front of the front doors and I stay behind a reasonable amount of space to allow my client to exit my car. The golf cart driver started to backup without checking any mirrors or any of her surroundings. She was about to hit my car when I decided it was time to press my horn. The golf cart driver stopped and moved forward, then looked back and noticed my red vehicle behind her. She drives around the middle roundabout and I decide to move forward. As my client starts to get out an employee from inside comes outside and stares me down with a very disgusted look and with an attitude; she then asks the golf cart driver “did she just honk at you?” To which she replied “yes, I was backing out into her” the employee from inside continues to mean mug me as if I was in the wrong. The golf cart driver never once apologized and instead said “this is why we don’t let you guys park here. But yes, go ahead” Never was I leaving my vehicle or my drivers door open. My client explained that she was being dropped off to which the employee responded with “we don’t let you guys park here” I am not a patient there or anyone I know. However, from this interaction it is clear that the staff is rude and careless. As a pervious Orlando health employee I know that the company strives to go by the motto PROMISE (Positive attitude, Respect, Ownership, Mindfulness, Inclusiveness, Superior communication). It was even on our Orlando health tshirts, even had stickers and pins for this motto. I can assure that none of these were modeled today.

The Lakes of Clermont Health and Rehab is an excellent facility. The staff are highly professional, caring, and willing to step into any roll needed to help the patient. From the medical personal to the activity director the patients are treated with dignity and respect. The rooms are clean and well maintained.

If I could give negative stars I would. If your loved one is of sound mind and just needs rehabilitation after surgery DO NOT send them to this facility. This is a nursing home and is staffed as such. There is a 1 to 25 patient ratio. Knowing this I cannot even be upset with the nurses as I believe they are doing the best they can. I just had my father transferred from there after two weeks. This facility was on the list given to us by Orlando Health as a suitable rehabilitation facility for him. The problems started from day one when there was not even a sheet on the bed when he arrived and the transport people put the used sheet they had brought from the hospital. My mom looked at the google reviews and please believe the more detailed reviews. They will take two hours to answer call lights, medications are consistently given late (5-6 hours at times) and sometimes not at all. My father had a rash on his back the whole time and we pointed it out in his care meeting as well as to numerous nurses and it was never looked after. PT is one hour per day. My father was just transferred and had not been bathed for four days as they came in one night at 9pm to bathe him, and for him that was too late. It would have been longer had Nicole Hutchinson (a shining light) at the facility not agreed to bathe him two days after he had is sutures out on a day they normally would not bathe them. They will meet with you and promise things will get better but they do not. I could go on and on about the problems we had at this facility please visit any facility you are planning on sending your loved one to.
