SETON HEALTH AT SCHUYLER RIDGE RESIDENTIAL H C

My mother spent 4 weeks at Schuyler Ridge Rehabilitation recently after taking a bad fall. They have a great system where you get feedback on your loved ones progress from all members of the team (nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, dietician and case manager). All of your questions can be asked in one place. I was in constant contact with both the case manager and the social worker. They always took the time to answer my questions and help me get things in place for my Mom to come home.The care team in the rehab wing was outstanding. They are a very kind and dedicated group. The facility does everything it can to not look quite so institutional. We were there right before Christmas and it was very beautiful and homey. Just as important however, Schuyler Ridge is very, very clean and well taken care of. I highly recommend this group if your loved one is in need.

Is so beautiful here and everyone is so kind and lovely. I am so impressed with the staff and surroundings.

This place is a joke. The residents are not at all taken care of and are often left alone. At times they wonder aimlessly in the hallways with no one in nursing paying them any mind

My husband loves all the nurses and help it sure makes him happy having to be there it sure makes family feel more comfortable. Thank you all for being so kind. Mr Cheney room 103 Rehab

My mom was here before she died. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE. The young CNA took my mom's Oxygen off her to put her in bed but then would say "I forgot something" and leave for my mom without oxygen for 20 minutes before the nurse came back. My sister worked there for almost 2 yrs so a good amount of people knew my mom. During that time mom flourished and was happy, had fun was helpful to the ge nurses calming other residents etc. then when my sister got fired in the shadiest of ways my mom was told to shut her mouth when she complained about it. The so called "Dr." Is a quack....she was so worried about mom losing weight even though she was wheelchair bound instead of the fact that mom was not being given her water pills or her compression socks hadn't been put on in months so her legs were large as boulders. Mom ended up getting pneumonia and was only given medicine for 1 week and no follow up. During that week she had been diagnosed with pneumonia she was given a COVID vaccination booster shot. Mom's lung were severely damaged when she had COVID so everything snowballed into her not being able to breathe, hospital, ICU & then passing away. We weren't on record as being her POA so we couldn't get her medical records. Mom only discussed these issues with the activities lady that she was closest with and I am floored that as an employee who KNOWS that a resident is being treated the way mom was this employee did not stand up for mom all in the name of "trust"????? I was told Mom wanted to deal with it but seriously as an employee I personally, at numerous jobs, have gone to my supervisor/ boss and I would say um xyz is having a hard time with abc but can you please look into quietly and not let them know you know. I hate injustice and lack of integrity this place represents
