After falling and requiring a hip replacement in July I was admitted to Dunmore Health Care Center for rehabilitation. I was a little scared that, at 82 years old, I wouldn't be able to recover from my injury, especially after my prior experience at another local care facility. I quickly found i had nothing to worry about. The care I received at Dunmore Health Care Center was exceptional. The staff, especially the nurses aides, were angels in disguise. Everyone of them was very pleasant, helpful and caring. The therapy department was outstanding! The therapists went above and beyond expectations to ensure my recovery. When I began my therapy I could barely do any of the exercises they wanted me to do. With their persistence it didn't take long for me to make considerable progress. The therapists always pushed me to do just a little bit more than I thought I could do. I really enjoyed my time spent with the therapy department. When it came time for me to leave it was bittersweet. I wanted to get back to my home, but I knew I would really miss the staff and the residents who became my friends. My special thanks go to Beth Ann, Adrianne, Andy, Michelle, Patrice, Junior, and so many others (whose names elude me right now due to my own forgetfulness, but deserve just as much praise), who I owe so much to during my road to recovery.

My husband was recently a patient at Dunmore Healthcare Center & I was very impressed by the facility & all of the staff. I have been in a lot of Nursing Homes & a have to say that this is the nicest one I have been in. My husband received excellent care. He was there for Inpatient Physical Therapy. The Physical Therapy Department was fantastic! I can't thank them enough. I would also like to thank the Nursing Supervisor & all of the Nurses, Nurses Aide's, Maintenance,& Housekeeping staff. I would also like to thank Pam Ruane for the excellent care given to my husband. I would definitely recommend this facility to my family & friends.
