My friend’s mother (who’s like a second mom to me) has been at Aperion Care for a while now . She was diagnosed with dementia a few years ago, and moving her into a facility was one of the hardest decisions our family had to make. Thankfully, Aperion Care has made that transition so much easier for all of us. The staff are incredibly patient, compassionate, and well-trained. They understand her and know how to redirect her gently when she becomes confused. They take the time to talk with her, even when she repeats the same stories or questions. That kindness means the world to us. I also appreciate how well they communicate with families. The nurses provide regular updates about her health, and they’re always open to questions. When her medications needed adjusting, they handled it promptly and explained everything clearly. Caring for someone requires patience, empathy, and consistency — and Aperion Care truly delivers. We have peace of mind knowing Mom is safe, comfortable, and treated with dignity every single day. I highly recommend this nursing home to anyone looking for compassionate people to take care of your love ones.

Communication is always clear, and they consistently call with updates or questions. They do what they say they will, which gives our family great peace of mind. The full-time, tenured staff truly shine here—you can tell they care deeply about the residents. The facility is always clean and well maintained. We’re so grateful for the compassion and professionalism shown every day.

My mom has been at Aperion Care Fox River for just over two weeks. The care, attention and love she and my family has received from each and every staff member has been amazing. This is never an easy time for families and sometimes overwhelming to navigate. Aperion Care management, physical therapists, nurses, CNA’s, social services, activities staff has opened their hearts to our family and my Mom making the transition smooth and as easy as it can possibly be. My mom is being cared for like I never imagined she would be. We are so grateful we found them!

We had the worst experience on my mother’s last day. The staff knew what was happening but didn’t update us until my sister came to visit. A nurse asked us when we were leaving and even prescribed medication without our consent. Management was pleasant at first, but that changed when things didn’t go their way. I witnessed my mother being over-sedated. The CNA staff and some of the nurses were wonderful and showed genuine care, but not everyone did. If your loved one is nonverbal, please make sure to visit them frequently — your presence truly makes a difference.

I would highly recommend this place. Building all one level, safety is great. Staff is compassionate and friendly. The management is very helpful regarding the billing. The DON also handles issues on the spot when it comes to medication issues. The meals are plenty.They also have on site therapy which is helpful. I don't have to take mom out for her doctor's visits. Aperion Care Fox River has contracts with Doctors, Podiatrist, Cardiologist just to name a few. And the activities keep the residents busy. This place is a hidden gem. Can't express enough how grateful I am for the care they give my mom.
