I live at Frankfort Terrace Care in downtown Frankfort, Illinois, a long-term care facility that's an exceptionally well-run, multifaceted facility, and having lived at various long-term care establishments, I've learned the reason that it's very different from others is because the administrator and the Director of Nursing have unusually high expectations regarding the quality of not only our care, but also of the rest of their many cohorts, that seem to like working her and this in turn is great for us. Moreover, they want us residents to be comfortable in a properly maintained manor, treated with respect, engaged in activities, eat well, be attended to by their top-notch nursing team, and made to feel at home at what we call home. I'm most certainly not the only one that feels that our care team creates effective ways to manifest a nursing home, that quite often, feels a bit more like a country club. I've been here over two years, and I'm really surprised that I'm not desperately planning and hoping to leave as I did at every other type of place that I found myself at because of complications as it relates to brainstem damaged mental health; rather, I'm grateful daily because my life is full, clean, healthy, fun and safe. I think many of us here has a mental health diagnosis, and the population is colorful and unique. What I see is democracy at its best. If this we could destigmatize long-term care residency's, there'd be a very long list to live at this one.

Can't help but notice all the 5-star reviews from employees 11 months ago boosting the rating. It was much lower when the reviews were primarily from residents and their loved ones. I've had a family member treated with bare minimum dignity here for quite a while, and I'll just say the rating would be much more accurate if you ignored all the sycophantic employees who coincidentally all decided to review at the same time.

Hello, I am addressing all staff members and residents of Frankfort Terrace. Words alone can't say how much our family appreciates the care and love you gave to Lynette Colafello. She arrived at your place 8 years ago. She referred to Frankfort Terrace as her Home. Listed below are only some of the fine persons I have had the pleasure to speak with. Debra Johnson (Deb, thanks for everything. I will miss your voice.) Callie Graham (Excellent administrator and very caring individual) Crystal Martin (Lynette was so fond of you) Sharon Wynn (Excellent service) Ayuk Akat (Providing the best possible care for Lynette) For those of you who like Elvis, enjoy the picture of him that Lynette so adored. I recommend any and all who need first class care to Frankfort Terrace. Sincerely, Victoria Arbanas and Family

My sisters have been living at Frankfort Terrace for almost two years. This week I had a care counsel meeting with six staff members. I was blown away by all of the attention being given to each sister based on their needs. The staff also are so friendly that I enjoy being with them!

My behaviorally challenged sister in law resided here for 4 months. They kept her alive, just barely so I gave them 1 star. She was chronically dehydrated and hated the food. In her last three weeks there she fell hard three times. She had to be sent to the hospital and required 5 days of intensive treatment to recover. She was covered in bruises and developed a bed sore. she had a UTI and water on her brain from the falls. The hospital did not return her to this awful place and I am thankful to God. Do not send anyone you love here and do not ask any questions or you will be met with scorn and hostility.
