If I could rate this facility 0 stars I would. I am disgusted by not only the filth, the lack of care, the absolute ZERO security. Spiderwebs and leaves all in and around the window. Beds unmade. Dirty, sticky floors with spills clearly left and uncleaned. Dirty trash cans left without trash bags. Employees raising their voices at patients telling them they aren’t going to cry. Patients left without water. Overall. Disgusting facility. Inattentive workers. Dirty rooms. I’m pretty sure some of this stuff violates health codes. Please if you have any compassion for your loved ones, do not bring them here. I will be fighting to get her moved after seeing these living conditions. And to the people running the facility, Yall should be ashamed of yourselves. Do better. Get better employees. These are people’s lives. Their last moments. Make them enjoyable. Not like this. This is just sad.
Can we just rebuild this place with love and compassion instead? God how horrifying. I went to visit and was left feeling sick and depressed. These people actually live here. I've seen nicer hospitals, probably even in 3rd world countries they'd be nicer facilities. I'm sad anyone wants to work here or worse, leave their family here. Sadly some of these people will die here. A bed, tv and curtain. How's that a life? Heartbreaking and awful. I pray its closed soon. Places this bad should never exist today
Do NOT send your family here if you TRULY care about them & this facility is DANGEROUS with medications. They come off as professional and caring but their heads are somewhere else while working. They screwed up my medications daily/nightly and caused me to have MORE seizures!! 95% of staff are rude and pissy, with attitudes, along with absolute dangerously mistaking dosing out medications to others besides myself. We let the State of MN and my doctors know about it and they've been reported - hopefully shutting down. Horror fest here!! If you DO CARE about family members, DO NOT SEND THEM HERE!! Staff also yell at clients and they're unprofessional as hell! They also suck $ out of you if you happen to need to stay longer than insurance covers! My friend is suffering financially, going into debt because of this horrid place blowing away help and true give a damn like it's jail. If you DO have family or loved ones staying here, get them out immediately because their health and sanity are at HIGH RISK. Should be rated negative stars. TIP that helped me: Have your loved ones staying here send you pics of their medications they're receiving to make SURE that they are getting CORRECT meds and dosages! It helped me officially report them with evidence!
AFTER SUFFERING A STROKE, I HAD A BROKEN ANKLE.... I was transferred to this facility for care while staying at HCMC.... Funding/Insurance was an issue.... While being covered with Insurance I read reviews about Estates while on my backside in pain. With reviewing my choice I was sent here. This Place Was worst than JAIL.... Unclean, Bugs, TV problems, NO Shower FOR 10days straight as Promised!, Food Portions Scarce-tasteless. Bed most uncomfortable= BAR in middle of back.... I had to wear ear plugs from all the NOISE..... Community bathrooms unclean and very smelly= worst than JAIL..... The most miserable time of my life.... I finally got out there and transferred to another Nursing home.... PT/OT Non-Existence as promised.... This place should be shut Down..... I cannot believe the MN Healthcare allows a Facility like this to Exist/pass Inspections... I DO NOT HAVE ONE GOOD THING TO SAY.... EXCEPT BOO BILLING = OUTRAGEOUS CHARGES= NOT WORTH 30% OF CHARGES....
Long wait times for call lights to be answered, then if a medication is requested, more wait. Sometimes a total of an hour or more. Not enough nursing assistants on the floor to do the work. While some of the aides seem well trained, friendly, thurough about the work, meeting the needs of the resident and helping us feel comfortable, just as many rush through, leave wanted items out of reach and act abruptly. A change in medication takes a full day, possible more to be available. For those of us getting many meds at a time, they are often more than an hour late and/or may not be correct. Patients on daily weights must do hoyer lift weight or step on a 1x1ft scale, The larger scale being non-functional for several weeks. They run out of incontinence items, especially for larger clients. Yes, there are attentive nurses and aids on most shifts sometimes, but they must be given the necessary tools to do the work in a professional manner. The physical and occasional therapists are the true heros of this place.
