My loved one was here for skilled nursing and rehab for some of October through today. He remarked often that he was very happy with the service provided to include nursing staff, dietary, admissions, housekeeping, front office workers, maintenance, medical workers, social work, therapists and activities. Every staff person who needed to help him(or me) in some way was always cheerful, kind and helpful. HIs room and bed linens were cleaned and changed daily and any problems he had with little things like the phone not working well when he first got there were handled quickly and well. He was also visited by some members of the MGT team who checked on him daily to make sure he had no complaints and all that he needed for his stay.
This place is amazing. My husband came here for rehab and they did amazing things to bring him to where he is today. The staff are friendly and amazing and very helpfull all the time. Physical therapy staff is amazing as well . Thank you for all that you guys do.
This facility has inappropriately allowed staff to ignore through 4 phone calls due to getting me mixed up with somebody else. The staff has been caught making jokes about the patients hardworking family members to which their response has been that “they thought they hung up.” My family member was in this facility’s care for a day and a half. In that day in a half, they have been ignored numerously, haven’t been allowed the proper movement or therapy which has already caused fluid buildup, and they were made to sit in their own urine for 2 HOURS. Keep in mind that this patient is fully coherent and of sound mind, they only needed assistance in getting up as that is what they were receiving care and therapy for after MAJOR surgeries. The staff allowed them to press the call button and proceeded to wait 2 hours before even checking to see what was needed, which at that point, it was already too late. Most people can’t hold their bladders for 2 hours, let alone an elderly person. The facility, the staff, and the management is wildly inappropriate for everything they have put not just my family, but countless other families through. I’m heartbroken that my family member was allowed to endure this for even a day and a half. People need to be made aware when making ANY decisions on transferring their family member into the Villa at Borgess Place’s care.
My mother was placed in their care after multiple hospital stays and suddenly becoming non-ambulatory with several other complications such as end stage COPD, heart failure, kidney failure, and lung cancer. On multiple occasions they would give her her medications and leave them on the bedside table. Many times she did not know she was passed medications. We have found the medications on her bed and clothes due to her dropping them and not being observed. I had to call 911 due to my mother being neglected, she was not given her breathing treatment. They complied after the EMS showed up to their facility. These people discharged my mother from rehabilitation because she was not making any progress yet they have not given her the time or care to rehabilitate her let alone meet her basic needs. I eventually moved her to Alamo and fought her wrongful discharge from OT and PT. She is now moving around and better than ever. She would have died if we did not fight for her. I hope this facility shuts down and I did not find one staff member worthy of praise. What a shame. She is now home with us and doing well. THANK YOU ALAMO!
My family member just got released today, he was put there because he needed to be able to go to the bathroom back and forth by himself. They did a little physical therapy but only a few times, then they got him up to walk the hallway, once. They kept him in a diaper and he left in one. I wouldn't let my pet pig go to this place. O and they stole his clothes
