As both an Otterbein partner AND as someone whose father was a patient at Otterbein of Lebanon, it is an excellent facility. The staff are caring, compassionate, and just all around first class. The facility is top notch, with a lot of great amenities. Dad was really happy here and I was really happy to have him here.
I can’t say enough about Otterbein! The community is warm and welcoming, and the staff truly go above and beyond to treat elders with respect and dignity. The entire team provides outstanding support and truly focuses on quality of life, which makes such a difference. I’m so grateful for the compassion and professionalism shown every day.
The detail and setting of the campus are absolutely gorgeous. This campus has absolutely everything you could want. A theater, billiards room, woodworking shop, train room, fitness center similar to the Y, pool, jacuzzi spa, pickleball courts, lake with pavilion, multiple restaurants, golf carts...... etc. etc. Stunning property!
Families beware Otterbein marketing team they performed a bate and switch with my loved one. Told her she would be approved and that she had nothing to worry about since she was bringing in a lot of money. Not one word to us about a limited or a standard approval. Just that she was approved. They thought we would just cave and accept their bate and switch process. No sir we stood our ground and found an even better place for our loved one at Chesterwood. Otterbein shame on you for being so dishonest to our seniors and their families.
VERY disappointed in this place. My grandmother was recently admitted to the memory care unit, and it has to be the most depressing environment, not to mention the astronomical cost compared to other up-to-date and better furnished facilities. In fact, when we asked for the cost, they only had 2019 prices available! If you look at the photos compared to the cost...surely updates could be made.
Also, thanks to CoVid, we are supposed to go to the Heritage building to sign in and check our temperature, then drive over to the Matthews building to visit. The inconvenience of that alone at such a large place is enough to be done.
