THRIVE OF LISLE

Thrive or Lisle is a great place to go to if you are in need of rehabilitation after a surgery. This was my first time at a rehabilitation place and my experience was great. The care I received there was awesome from the CNA's who work there butts off, (Jade, Ash, Tyrea. Noah, Geneve, Davida, Parth, Mia, Beatrice, MaKayla and many more) the nurses who come and make sure that your pain was manageable in a timely fashion(Jaime, Rita, Justina) the PA 's who come in and made sure that you are also comfortable with your pain meds and that your wounds are looked after. Dr. M and Dr Yousif who would also come in and see how you were feeling and if there were any problems that might have come up. Both were very personable and made you feel welcome while there. The physical therapist ( Wendy, Marc, Edgar) and occupational therapist ( Ed, Susan, Anne)that work with you anywhere from 5 to 6 days a week to get you back maybe not a 100 percent of who you were before surgery but very close. The only draw back was the food. It was ok but when you asked for extra protein to follow dr's orders and you would order it on the menu and not receive it got kind of frustrating. Would I recommend this place to people 100 percent. Will I go back after my next surgery if I need to yes I would go back there. Thank you to all that took good care of me to get me back home.

Our trauma at Thrive of Fox Valley is censored, so I am reposting here. At the beginning of my mom’s end of life, Thrive of Fox Valley abused my mom upon her transfer from Rush Copley Hospital. The staff evicted her from her room, took her back to Rush Copley Hospital in their rickety vehicle, and left her for dead in the Rush Copley hospital garage, near midnight. It took Rush Copley staff all night to discover my mom shivering and cold in their “emergency room”. We were billed for the Ridge Ambulance that Rush Copley called to retrieve my mom at sunrise and take her back to Thrive of Fox Valley. For the last year of her life, my mom suffered post traumatic stress from this incident, piled on to her medical conditions. Thrive never owned up to what they did. When I tried to get justice, I was dismissed and gaslighted. We were given a walker, as a cheap consolation prize. Thrive of Fox Valley is outside our house. Their ambulance traffic flashes through our living room. I’m living in the shadows of my late mom’s abusers and taunted by their flashing ambulance traffic.

My mother in law spent two weeks at Thrive of Lisle. She enjoyed her PT and OT sessions and connected with the therapists. She told me about some gamified exercises like fetching objects that she found fun. She had no complaints about food either - amazing! I appreciated that staff encouraged her to get up and walk to dining area rather than eating in her room. Upon discharge staff cheered her out the door. It was a good experience.

My mom was taken good care of during her stay at thrive! They had fun with her and got to know her. When your in rehab they lifted her spirits which is important. They were warm group! The rehab staff was great as well! They were thorough! They answered all of our questions as well patiently! It is really clean as well! Great place and after care follow is great as well!

My mom is staying there and we are thrilled we chose this facility. Mom loves her therapists and the food has good choices. We enjoy that they make the families feel welcomed. Everyone is so pleasant and today we got to meet Kelly one of their event coordinators. So much fun!!
