Please be aware of signing a residential living agreement with Brethren Village in Lititz,PA. Our father, who lived 8 years there in a studio apartment passed away March 9th 2025. Because his apartment has not been reoccupied for 6 months, BV is not refunding his 80,000 deposit to the estate until someone moves into the space. We cannot close his estate until this is resolved. BV has not been very cooperative with us or our attorneys.
My wife, Betsy, and I just moved into the Northside Court of the Brethern Village and we are delighted. The experience from our initial application until move-in has been managed both professionally but also with a personal touch that makes such a decision so much easier. Our new home and the community of people who have welcomed us has exceeded our expectations. Special thanks goes to Jessaca Shortes, who managed the process for us and is a personable and lovely lady!
The Rehabilitation Center at Brethren Village is truly an amazing building. My mother in law recently had two knee replacements and needed rehab after each one. The first time she went to another skilled rehab. She had a shared room with a curtain down the middle, a roommate with dementia that kept coming over to her side of the room, and a ceiling that was stained and sounded like the roof would cave it when it rained. At Brethren Village - the rooms are all private! Beautiful! Peaceful. Bright. From the nursing staff to therapy staff - even the folks in food services - they meet every need to ensure a positive experience!
My dealings with the staff have been nothing less than a 10/10. Whenever I have mentioned my grandmother they always immediately know to whom I am referring and are always willing to help me out despite their busy schedules. They go out of their way to make sure their residents have what they need and that they can help in any way that they can. I am very satisfied with my dealings with the nurses here and am confident in their care of my grandmother.
This doesn't even deserve a one star, and if I had to compare them to the amount of worse places I've experienced this would def be the worst one yet. if you wanna worsen your day go ahead and go to this place. They don't care about the staff for one MINUTE! they treat everyone there terrible.
