ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND! careless staff. this hey DO NOT care about patients. my grandma with extreme brain damage was at sunshine terrace for therapy for her broken hip. the staff was fully aware of her mental condition, and didn’t care. she has short term memory loss and the treatment she received from staff was unacceptable. they treated her like she was garbage. we made it VERY clear that she needed strict supervision so she didn’t further hurt herself more, and the staff ignored us. she fell 3 separate times, most recent fall she broke her hip AGAIN. after making such good progress with her recovery, everything down the drain and we have to completely restart due to sunshine's terraces negligence. they do not care about safety of their patients. one of the nurses even told us that “she may just be too much for them to handle”. completely unacceptable. sunshine terrace needs some serious work. disgraceful and should be embarrassed. these are people’s family members that they are trusting you with. TRAIN YOUR NURSES BETTER AND DO BETTER !

My sweet mom lived there several months before she passed. What a wonderful caring staff!! They had meetings with my mom and my siblings to understand her needs, what they needed to change or do to be able to give the best course of action to help her and us. When I had to leave her I always felt like she was in the best hands and that she would be cared for in the best possible way. At this point in her life it was hard to see the decline of her body and mind but the staff helped us understand what was happening and how we could help. I could feel the love and respect many of them had for their sweet clients living there, I’m sure it’s extremely hard to watch so many people suffer, they were loving and kind, tried to brighten each last moment we shared with my mom until she passed on. The staff was reverent, caring, sympathetic and showed love and compassion to our family, I will forever be grateful for their care!!

My father was in there and he was 6 feet tall, his feet were hanging past the bottom of the bed; lost the bottom of his electric toothe brush. On day his his room was 90 degrees, his brother had to adjust the therostat, would not recommend them to any one, all this happened in 2015,2016 !!!

Sunshine has been great! Residents are kept active and busy. The staff gets to know the residents and most seem to enjoy their job. I would encourage families to visit often and communicate with the staff as soon as an issue comes up. It is my experience that if their is a problem the administration is quick to fix it.
