Reviews
Skilled nursing section is a ridiculously expensive disappointment. We were under extreme pressure to find a facility for our parent, and the unscrupulous admissions director at the time quoted us a price about twice the going rate, implying we could "take it or leave it". Pros: Beautiful, clean and modern facility. Great food. But the cons cancel out all of it. The bureacracy when dealing with these people is beyond description. Lazy overpaid bureacrats don't answer calls, everything goes to voicemail, they rarely respond, and when they do, it's lip service. The nursing: there's a grand total of one beleagured nurse that cares, and the ones above & below her are awful. Countless expensive hearing aids were "lost", and the director refused to reimburse, so we had to replace them at our expense. Good (not cheap) watches that disappeared were blamed on another patient. Dehydration sent our parent to the hospital not long after admission. They refuse to ensure the patients stay hydrated because we were told directly that placing water in front of a dementia patient is the extent of their responsibility. Nurse turnover is very high, and you only see a couple nurses who stay for long. Avoid this trainwreck at any cost. Edit: Your response below absolutely confirms your red tape do-nothing bureaucracy. Does anyone reading it believe the management would do anything positive, of substance, other than shuffle papers and lip-service? Laughable if it weren't sad.
We love living at Pleasant View Communities! The facilities are convenient, residents are a priority, staff is extremely patient and resourceful, and our neighbors very welcoming and friendly. Plus, lots of opportunities to learn and grow, and get imvolved.
My wife and I have been Pleasant View residents for over two years. We made the move after a great deal of thought and planning and we have no doubt that we made the right decision. We looked at five other communities in the area and Pleasant View was clearly the best option for our needs and interests. Among the many benefits for us are the beautiful country setting, the professional and caring staff, the fitness center and walking trails, the smaller close-knit community as well as the many friends we have made since coming here. We recommend Pleasant View without reservation.
Jeanne & I feel deeply connected with the Pleasant View Community. Each day our friendships grow stronger, both with residents and employees. We absolutely love it here. This is our home. It's where we want to live and want to be. It gives us a great sense of purpose and belonging that we can contribute to making this a vibrant home for others as well.
We moved in 3 months ago to independent living at PV and are so happy we moved here. The staff has been so helpful and pleasant, and the resident community is so friendly.. I have taken our dog to visit residents in the skilled nursing building and have been impressed with the care and attention. Best choice we could have made for our later years!
