Great facility overall! It’s very clean, and during every visit, I’ve noticed that the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive to the residents. They are quick to return my calls and are patient and understanding when I ask questions.
All the nurses and staff are wonderful! They go above and beyond to meet the needs of the patients. They even have a mascot! I forgot the dogs name but he made my heart joyful by his friendly little self! Im sure he brings joy to all the resident's there!!
I don’t leave a lot of reviews but I felt I strongly needed to for this place. If you have a loved seeking LTAC, PLEASE look further than Genesis Marmet. This place is so bad, idk how else to describe it. My grandmother was here for rehabilitation & the care is subpar, at best. I know that SOME of the CNAs & nurses mean well & im assuming are just working with what they have/don’t have a lot of resources. Shame on this company!! They need to hire more staff on all levels. My grandmother would go hours without being checked on (again most likely not their fault but probably a lack in resources), room absolutely nasty.. I would wipe it down & tidy it up everytime I came to visit as this would bother her. The smell of the whole facility is so unappealing & needs addressed immediately. None of the case managers will call you back about anything. Ultimately, my grandmother who has very minimal function of one side of her body & sometimes lapses in cognitive thinking, fell out of her bed of the night, that was always left up high, with no mats on the floor or rails. It’s hard to tell how long she was left laying there as she cannot speak or walk. Honestly surprised they even contacted us about it. She was supposedly going home a few days after this but now suddenly social work doesn’t want to help with that “she’s not our patient any longer”. Hmm very suspicious to me that the exact night that her insurance was to stop paying for her stay & then next 2 days our family was going to be doing private pay to get things ready for her discharge was the night she supposedly fell out of bed & needed to go to the hospital & they wanted 0 to do with her or us any longer. Which we were told the rate per day was $212 or $216/day, rate suddenly changed to $500 some /day. Just things that make you wonder. I’d advise anyone to not spend your money or insurance benefits at this facility. Your loved ones deserve SO much better.
I know everyone's experience is different, but my mom has been in this facility since November 12 and she loves it. All the staff are helpful and accommodating and they go above and beyond to help when needed. I do think sometimes when hitting the call button it takes a while for someone to come but when you think about how many people are housed there and how many people they have working it's not the facilities fault. The majority of the time mom loves the food. Compared to what they serve in the major hospitals in the region their food is far superior to anything she has had before. The nurses and staff do for her what I am unable to do and that is exactly what she and I both needed. I visit her daily and I leave every day knowing they are doing the best they can for her and I have peace of mind with that. Is the facility and staff perfect, no they aren't, but they do the best they can with what they have and the time they have. We have had some clothes go missing before too but if you ask nicely and let them know what is missing they will go out of their way to help locate it. The administrative staff have went out of their way to explain paperwork to me and help me with the medicaid process which can be confusing and time consuming. My experience with the Marmet Center has been a positive one.
Staff is always willing to help and often go out of their way to make sure my memaw is took care of. They all deserve raises
