The nursing staff was amazing and so was activities. I appreciate everything that was done for me and everyone that made it possible. I will truly miss the staff, they treated me with such kindness and respect. -LLJ

Our family member had been a long standing resident at Mattapan Health & Rehab and many of the staff had been there with her for decades. We appreciate all that the staff has done for her and the patience and care they showed her and our family throughout her many years there. Special thanks to all the staff who took care of our family member especially Nurse Maggie, who managed her with consistency and patience day to day for almost 20 years, and Avril the activities director for over 20 years of planning trips, holiday events and daily activities. The staff at Mattapan Health & Rehab were like family and our family really appreciates and recognizes them for all they did.

Let me share with you my experience at mattapan healthcare. First when you walk in the doors, the smiles of the receptionists warms your heart, they are very welcoming and accommodating. Every staff member is available to help with any question, concerns and issues. When you bring issues the attention of the the administration, it is looked into and feedback provided. The food services cater many different ethnicity especially to the predominant Haitian population. Mattapan is home to all. Many of the staff have worked there for years, because they love what they do, and to serve the residents. All the staff have a serving heart and attitude. Social services is prompt on connecting your with local and community services as needed, as well as discharging residents safely back home or into the community. The cleanliness is much better due to continuous attention they give it. The management and staff take pride in wound care, (they have healing hands), hospice, behavioral services, and recreation that is geared to different ages and demographic. Mattapan might not have the chandeliers, swimming pools and state of the art gym, but your care and safety is paramount, and its from the heart. I hope this helps in your decision making as to where you want your loved one to receive long term care, short term rehab, and hospice care. Our vendor/partners and volunteers are happy to work with us on a daily basis.

I have a cousin, that’s was admitted to MHR. I have visited him several times in the last few weeks. He is always neat and clean. All the staff that I have met have always attended to his needs as well as mines. Chris, is coming out of his shell, when I am there I notices his interactions with staff, and that is very positive. They intentionally put me in a room with older people One can't talk and my brother came to visit me and was in the room I'm in so I pulled the emergency cord and as my brother waited in the room to see how long they would respond and they didn't he filed a complaint and now one of the CNA told me today it doesn't work I have multiple health problems to be in a room with no emergency cord but I believe the administrators are now telling me it doesn't work I'll be filing a lawsuit because my life is in jeopardy this place isn't fit to take care of animals
