I have visited this healthcare facility multiple times regarding my mom's care, and the experience has been extremely troubling. The facility's management seems to prioritize financial gain over the well-being of both residents and staff. Staff members are consistently overworked, underpaid, and mistreated unless being observed by outsiders. Many staff show visible signs of exhaustion and pain due to heavy workloads and understaffing - some work long hours daily. Issues of racism, discrimination, bias, and arrogance are prevalent, starting with the Director of Nursing and Minions. Caring staff are often driven out. Some of the staff are condescending, rude, and unresponsive to calls about resident issues like missing items or Falls. Therapy services are inconsistent and seem designed to retain long-term care residents for facility financial benefit rather than helping residents return home...In a disturbing incident, one of the caregivers accidentally told me that my Mom had fallen out of bed. This incident was not reported, not filed, and I was not notified. I left a message asking for someone to contact me about this and i was left with no response then finally ensured they would investigate. The facility's conditions are unacceptable - dirty, needing a thorough cleaning, and infested with spiders, roaches, and alleged bed bugs. I've seen roaches in food areas, also in a container that held cold cereal for the residents which is disgusting. The bathrooms at the Facility are filthy, with the ladies' bathroom being the worst having unsanitary conditions including visible debris and body crumbs on the commodes seats I strongly advise others to consider these serious issues before choosing this facility for themselves or loved ones.
I was there for rehab only got 20 minutes physical therapy. My Nike shorts went missing. Someone took my debt card had to call and block my card. The bathroom was a mess. I was given a tb test five day after I got there. I was given someone else's clothes. I had a hard time cleaning myself with my CP. They refused to remove folding catheter when I left have to goto doctor to remove it. You my not know who I am. You when I get the word out on what kind of place this is.
My mother was a short term rehab patient there for about 5 weeks. She was there to get stronger, or at least back to her baseline. To be able to transfer from wheelchair to bed/toilet. This didn't happen at all. Now she cannot even sit up on the side of the bed, and she has tried as hard as she can. So I know that if she was getting therapy, trunk control wouldve been accomplished by now. She was never allowed to leave her room. Not even once. She was forced to use a bed pan or be incontinent. I was present when a CNA actually told her to just "let it go" in the bed and they were "short staff and she didn't have no help." The CNAs and short term rehab do not communicate obviously. Nobody ever called me not even once about any changes to her treatment plan or medicine. My sister and I were not invited to attend her care plan meeting, even though I am her 24/7 caregiver. She went to an appointment that she didn't even know about by ambulance. That is wrong on so many different levels. I tried many times to talk to staff and was blown off, or just plain ignored. A CNA took my mom's cell phone charger ( actually mine) and never brought it back. My mom was with a dead phone for 3 days. On admission to this place, my sister and I a long with my mother, sat in her room for over 2 hrs before anyone came and said anything to us. She was forced to lay in her poop for 6 hrs on more than one occasion. She was offered one shower in the 6 weeks she was there. And on her discharge, the orders were never carried out. She was never referred to home health. I had to go back and do it myself. Also, I was told to hold on when I called.they just hung up the phone when they said hold on. There was one lady that worked there that was very helpful with explaining Medicare and Medicaid. Other than that, I would NOT allow my mother to go there again. What a nightmare!!
This place is a nightmare!!! Outdated on every level! My family member was here and not properly cared for, so bad that he was hospitalized twice!!! After the most recent hospital stay the doctor recommended that we not send him back there. There are some that care about the well being of the residents here but not many. I’m sad that this happened to my relative and looking forward to him getting the care he needs moving forward and getting him ready to be discharged HOME!!
This place will have you up and walking… out the door within a few moments of arriving. I’m giving 1 star because it won’t let me give 0 stars. Moldy vents, rat poop in closet, nasty furniture. We left "against doctors order" within the first hour of being here for rehab.
