My mom has been at The Gardens for long term care since May and I’m relieved to have found this place! It’s an incredible facility with staff that are caring and competent. Step inside and you’ll see a big difference from others if you’ve been looking in the area. It is well maintained and very clean. It is well-staffed and organized. This is a great place for your loved one.
My brother who has a variety of illnesses and being bedridden, was placed at The Gardens due to its close proximity to family. He was sent to the hospital due to his hallucinations due to Parkinson’s, to be evaluated at hospital’s Pyche-Geriatric Ward, hospital found nothing so he was sent back to The Gardens. Once again they decided to send him to the Psyche-Geriatric Ward but since there were no openings available in Tulsa, he was sent to McAlester! Again, no diagnosis! He then arrived via ambulance at The Gardens and taken in when one of the nurses yelled at ambulance drivers to take him out, he was not allowed back at their facility! No one bothered to inform family or even write up the discharge documentation. Everyone, including the owner of ambulance service, were scrambling to find a facility that could take him!! NO ONE SHOULD EVER BE TREATED LIKE THAT!!! Disrespectful to someone that is not able to defend themselves! They have been reported to OSDH, which has already visited the facility and found that they were incompliance in several patient’s cases!
Put my mother on the waiting list to move her into The Gardens at least 6 months ago. I've called a couple of times to check the status. Called today & was told "I started here in September & started a new list". WHAT?! My advice, keep looking. Do not waste your time on this place.
They discharged my sister and sent her home on oxygen. They forgot to submit an order for her home oxygen. She ran out the first afternoon and had to go by ambulance to the hospital to be admitted so she would have oxygen to live the next 2 days until her supplies are delivered. What a joke. Never should have been discharged witout her supplies in order.
The rehab there is a joke its like romber room to the tecks my dad got severly dehydrayed a severe urinary track infection pnemonia in a weeks time there bruises all ober his right arm with finger prints the tecks layed him flat at night with the feeding tube in!! Incompetant her gramoas the maintenance man thete she said they waited 4 days to do blood work meanwhile my dad went down hill !! There was no water on the pole with the food either to much to list let dad lay in bed for3 days! Thats not rehab!!! I kept asking them to get him up but nooooo! Took 45min for the teck to come after pushing the button she disnt even know what npo meant i walked in just in time she was going to feed my dad and therr was a big sign on the wall no npo! When i said look at the sign she said i dont know what that means really i said and told her what it meant she went out of the room while smarting off
