I've visited several nursing homes in my time and must say that Shady Knolls was impressive.! The staff was very pleasant from the front desk to the people distributing the dinners. The room was clean and when the dinner arrived I must admit I became hungry! Overall a pleasant visit and I'm glad my mother in law is in such a nice place!

All the staff (APRN/nursing/CNA, PT/OT, nutrition, social workers and receptionists) have been so kind and compassionate!!! As a healthcare provider myself, it was nice to see a well oiled team who advocates for our elderly. Additionally, assisting us with a discharge plan home. Thank you from the Zapatka family

This place and their staff would get five stars from me if it was not for one late night staff member and the food service overall (inconsistent at best). But specifically, Joe Ceres, Emily Smail, Debbie (the daytime nurse) Deetha (spelling?) occupational therapist Erin were all outstanding! The late night nurse from after 11:00 p.m to 7:00 a.m. from Monday to Friday has a problem with getting pain medication delivered in a timely manner; sometimes close to an hour and a half late. And there’s never an apology. She puts the medication in front of me. I don’t say a word because I’m not going to get into it with her. I take the late medication And she says have a good night and leaves. Last night I told the Aide I need a pain medication and then she checked on me after she had told the nurse an hour and 10 minutes after I had requested it. The aide couldn’t believe That it wasn’t delivered. When the aide Told the nurse that I still hadn’t had my medication, they had some words outside of the door, and the nurse was saying that she was never told which room it was which knowing the aide , I know that not to be true. The aid came in and said did you hear that. And I said I did and I said I can’t believe it. 10 to 15 minutes later the nurse came back and put the medication in for me and once again never apologized For the lateness. Just said have a good night after I took the pill. That’s not right.

I had a loved one placed here years ago and would recommend but went to tour recently for my mom and they are really cleaning the place up. You can tell the staff care; they were all really friendly as the admissions person walked me around. They do have a waiting list, but we are hoping to get in soon.
