My mom went in for rehab. She had some of the very best nurses and techs. Home is always where the heart is, but while there she was treated the very best and everyone went out of their way to help her. Food not very good, but every person that came in contact with her or us was so very wonderful. Thank you all.
My sister has been a patient at NHC for 7 months. Basically I would rate the care good. The DON, Helen is great, social workers, Torrey and Sam are helpful, Wendy in business office knows her stuff, techs respectful and dietary department has the best down home cooking in Springfield , Shasta and Punkin are like family
I am blessed to have come to this facility. Although nowhere is home away from home and neither will it be perfect. It is what you make of it. The nurses for the most part are excellent and so is the physical therapy team. I was in a car crash and had 12 broken bones, hospitalized 3 times, lost my ability to walk and had to relearn maybe from the spine surgery, been through intense and extreme pain, had sepsis from the car crash wounds, almost died, been on vent. However, all of the staff were always there and always helpful and after 5 weeks here I can walk again. It is a clean comfortable facility with great food and I never lacked anything. With dedication and compassion from the staff at all levels I am going home with a positive outlook on life at 54 years old. Thank you NHC. I recommend this place to anyone to meet your rehabilitative needs in all areas.
Do not bring your family here they are NOT accommodating and they're very disorganized, the people that work there are very discourteous. If I could give this place 0 stars I would! The caretakers are invigorating please if you love your loved one please do not send them here
The care in this place is sadly unacceptable. My father’s health declined while there & he was eventually sent back to the hospital, only to find out that he had developed a horrible MRSA infection from lack of care at his mid-line. He was also septic once we got back to the hospital from lack of treatment for a previous infection they were dealing with. The hospital even told us to make sure we NEVER send anyone to the place of care he was in. We almost lost him from this incident, and he is still not out of the woods! It is heartbreaking to know that people can so easily overlook the elderly.
