Be very careful about choosing this place. They will promise the world about constant checkups and care but after you leave they will put your loved one in a wheelchair for hours without proper care in the hallway. They will then claim they are short staffed as reason for the inhumane treatment of the elderly. Would not recommend these con artists. Protect your loved ones and stay away.

My husband left Mercy Hospital after hip replacement. He was transported to Union Care Center for Rehab. It is by far the best nursing home I have ever been associated with. The entire staff is fabulous. They are loving, caring and like a family. Somehow they received a 1 rating which was totally underserved. They should have a 4 or 5 rating and we give them a 5. I can’t give enough praise to this facility.

What a great place. This place, their nurses, and the entire staff was wonderful. The first impression ... I walked through their doors ... and it smelled NORMAL. It did not smell like urine (like a lot of homes) and it did not smell like pine-sol (to cover the smell up). It is a well-maintained nursing home. When we were visiting, the nurses made a point to come in and introduce themselves.

Staff is very kind and treats residents like family. For a short stay or long term care there is no better place. Management is compassionate and caring towards the residents and the staff. Warm greetings from the front desk through therapy and nursing care. Truly no other like community in the area.

My mother in-law has been in this facility since the beginning of 2020. Before the pandemic hit her care was questionable but once the lockdown happened, there was no way for us to visit or even speak to her. We have depended solely on her hospitalist to communicate any concerns to the family. Unfortunately, the questionable care was continuing and this facility was reported to the state twice by my mother in-law’s hospitalist. Our intention is to remove my mother in-law as soon as possible but now there are 18 cases of COVID-19. My advice to other families, stay away from this care center. This is not a place to send your loved ones.
