My Dad spent 10 months at Lafayette Manor after medical issue caused a rapid health and mobility decline. He needed skilled nursing and extensive rehab. The staff there were knowledgeable, caring and compassionate. He came home today and we cannot thank everyone at Lafayette Manor enough!!
In January of this year, our cousin, Linda Rohland, experienced a fall at her home. This led to her stay at Lafayette Manor until her passing in April. My brother, friends, family and myself wanted to express our thanks to all who helped in Linda's stay. At times she was not always cooperative, but they persevered towards her well being. Linda was always kept clean and her surroundings were pleasant. The staff would greet her with a smile and some times just stop in to say " Hello". Carissa Matty was extreme helpful in guiding us through Linda's journey. She arranged for test and necessary visits to Uniontown Hospital. Linda had many physical problems and Ms. Matty would connect us with the correct medical personal to address these problems. She was also a great proponent in addressing insurance matters for Linda. All this just made a bad situation more tolerable. We would recommend Lafayette Manor to any one who needs a 24 hour care for their loved one. Sincerely, Sandra Kovacs
An older but very clean facility. The therapy department staff are so caring … they encourage their patients and are very knowledgeable. They have helped me walk again! The nursing staff and aides are very kind and caring as well. Looking out for each individual’s needs. Lafayette’s food coming out of the kitchen is very tasty.
Not happy at all with this place, the rooms are old and unclean. It looks like they haven't been remolded in years. They are painted a drab green color that looks like the Uniontown Hospital used in the 70's. These people need cheerful colors and cheerful surroundings that make them happy. Not doom and gloom. I didn't see any common room where the residents can go and visit with each other or family to get out of their ugly room. I also noticed some broken baseboards or missing pieces. There are 2 doors inside the bathroom that 2 rooms have access to and one side has a man. It should be a block of males and a block of females so there would be no accident walk-ins. The call button and the remote for the bed have no way of clipping to the on to the bed so they don't fall off. There are no bedrails. The whole time I was there not a single staff member came into to the clients room to see if she needed anything. I'm just very dissatisfied with this facility. For what they charge people to put their loved ones here you would think over the years that they could put a little bit of money into it to bring inside up to date.
Amazing staff who genuinely care about the residents. Can’t say enough good things about this place. Very grateful for the care my mom receives here.
