I'm generally not one who will ever leave a review. In this case I found it absolutely necessary. It's taking some time for me to wrap my mind around the care that my partner received while in this facility.. It wasn't something that I was just told about, I experienced it during my time of visiting as well.. There seems to be only a few people that really cared about human decency and kindness. Overall the staff appears to be overwhelmed and stress to the max. I witnessed a very short-tempered staff member become very abrasive physically with my partner while she lay in bed to be cleaned up. If you suffered a stroke, your body will experience difficulty. I ended up helping because of how awful my partner was treated. She was in tears!!!. Ifvcould rate the facility it would be a (0). On the day that my partner was to be released she was dropped on the floor. Can you imagine the terror faced at that moment. Immediately she was put back in the bed before our daughter was to arrive. Absolutely no accountability has been taken. Everyone seems to scurry around truth and transparency. It starts with administration. It amazes me that this place is still open. I come from a large line of medical providers. I feel this facility does just the bare minimum to stay open. There's so many other disparities that we experience while my partner was staying in this Care facility. Too many to name. What I can say is that it's absolutely imperative that seniors, children ,young adults have advocates working on their behalf. My spirit grieves for those individuals who don't have anyone to see to their care. There's so much abuse neglect and disparity in these places. I'm sure this facility is not standing alone in neglect. what I no to be true is Windsor Court Should Have Better Standards.. The rating speaks VOLUMES!!
So my grandmother who is 86 years old was sent to Windsor care facility for rehab before she gets back home due to my grandmother‘s falling. My grandmother has a hard time getting around, so she’s pretty much bedbound. She was receiving a bed bath on the night of October 10 by two nurses one was talking to her and the other one was washing her, my grandmother said that the one who was talking to her was making she my grandmother didn’t look at the other girl, while the other girl got her very soapy and removed all her rings valued at 10k, during the hand massage and rinsing,(yes we are kicking ourselves because we should have removed the rings from her before arriving but at the time we were just concerned about her safety.) my grandmother called my grandfather when she woke up the next morning and noticed that they were gone, my grandfather called me and alerted the management staff, I called the police who haven’t seemed to be much help being that the officer who took the report when on vacation the next day. The manager of the facility said that he conducted an interview with all of the staff and nobody is admitting to it so there’s nothing that he can do.this doesn’t seem fair or right.it seems very unjust. I have worked at elderly facilities before and I have seen and heard of people getting fired for less. My grandmother can identify these two girls and nobody in the facility has asked her who they were when my grandfather and I told the director that we were going to get the media involved and that we were not going to stop and this was going to turn into a lawsuit he picked does not to because he did not want a black eye for Windsor care. The director has not been upfront with the police. In fact, he is avoiding the police who have tried to make several attempts to speak with him over the phone and in person. while I’ve been visiting my grandmother, I over heard 2 other women make claims to their family’s that their jewelry was also stolen so now I’m wondering if this place just steals jewelry from the elderly and has no accountability and is allowing their employees to take advantage of these people who are there to get better. I’m very pussed off and shocked that someone who works with the elderly would steal from them. It seems like our world truly is going to hell. Please don’t send your loved ones to Windsor care. They don’t care. They hire thieves and criminals who take advantage of the elderly.
My friend was there for I’d say a month w complications from a stroke. She did get decent care and nurses and staff very helpful. She had visitors every day and that does make a difference in care at these facilities. My 2 Stars are because of the horrific pissy smell which can be controlled. I’ve been to many of these facilities. Why are some so nice no smell etc… they are NOT letting Patients sit in their pee forever. This place needs to do better. Clean extra well and Quit letting Patients sit in Their Pee. Nuff Said
I see that this place has a 2.0 rating, so I think the treatment given to disabled adults who live in this place is true. My daughter had an altercation with a nurse her name of the nurse Charity anith and also with the supervisor her name Mrs.okay which led me to make this publication, is because my daughter is young and can defend herself, but the nurse's attitude towards my daughter, she is a nurse assistant who does more work than the nurse. The nurse is arrogant rude to talk and behave, I can't imagine how she can treat her patients when no one sees her, because if she gets very arrogant with my daughter who is a teenager, 20 years old. I don't want to imagine what she will do with disabled adults when no one sees her, the report was put with Mr. OKAY but there is how racism and preference hide things, the nurse tried to hit my daughter, in fact she pushed her hand and threatened her that she was going to slap her this problem has been going through 2 Occasions, and there are already two reports that they put to that nurse on behalf of my daughters, but there is no authority in that place my daughters are going to work and do their job, she is not going to make a fight, nor to lower herself in a workplace, they have principle and education
My friend of 34 years has told me she has been in her bed for 5 years, She came here after her sister passed away, left and forgotten about, this place has the most worse reviews I have ever seen at a facility. She was able to walk with a walker, but is now sitting in a bed for 5 years, she is not allowed to use a bathroom, or walk! She sits in dirty diapers, it takes them forever to change her, she can’t go outside, they are to lazy to wheel her out in a wheelchair, they offer physical therapy, but never did physical therapy, They feed her food that is not nutritional, and they have been abusing her. She is disabled and this is not right to treat someone this way!
