Beyond upset and NOT IMPRESSED with anyone who works here! The nicest person who works here is the janitor and he seems to know more than the other staff did. I call to speak with my Dad who is in Hospice and get greeted with irrelevant comments about how “you need to get him a phone, he gets a lot of phone calls.” Look, I understand completely, but that’s a YOU PROBLEM and then you should invest in rooms that are able to take incoming calls. The room is always hot, the window doesn’t open and he has wet himself. I GUARANTEE that nobody is even trying to get him to eat or drink either. Disturbing

Not a good rehab center by any means. I was visiting there for a few days and call lights are not answered in a timely manner. There was one medicine passer that would not answer the call lights even if they were right next to her, and clearly didn't care to get anyone to help residents. Quite a few residents sitting in the halls and sleeping in their wheel chairs in the middle of the hall even. Choose somewhere else for your loved one..

Mom had short-term stay. The PT/OT rehab was fantastic. Daniel is very skilled and uses genuine concern for patients, which encourages patients to do their best. Most staff are friendly and caring. Not being understaffed would remedy slight communications. And the food was better than expected! Thanks Teri Lynn!

I want to start this off saying that I was sales and custormer service positions most of my working life and believe and stress customer service to all that I had the opportunity to talk with. I was In Waterview Pines in 2024 for 3-1/2 months and Hospice Respite resident for 6 days in January 2025. Waterview Pines is an excellent residental nursing facility that is staffed by a genuinely friendly, pleasant, caring, and efficient staff on all levels. They believe in giving the resident the highest level of care and assistance the resident needs and then more. This was shown to me on all levels of service and care from the housekeepning staff to the skilled nursing care and management. If you or a loved one need nursing facility that cares about you and your loved one and are in the northeast Minnesota area be sure to look into Waterview Pines in Virginia MN. The communication here is not on a acceptable level whether it be between staff members, staff members to family, or staff members to residents. Not one staff member is even close to being on the same page - it is really almost impossible to even get a very simple question answered. The food is the absolute most terrible fare I have ever seen at any institution -my mother was given the same horrid hot dish looking thing for four nights in a row ! Sadly I’m sure there are unfortunately worse places than this but there isn’t certainly anything to recommend here.
