After 30 years in our home, we made the big decision to move to Meadowood. Now, three months later, the only question we ask is "Why not sooner?" My wife, a constant worrier, now has nothing to worry about. Our biggest problem is trying to manage our schedule so we don't over-schedule. You can do as much or as little as you like. The food is excellent, the staff is warm and friendly, and more importantly, extremely competent. My wife says it is like living at an all-inclusive resort.
I believe Providence led us to Meadowood. Of the few places we visited in 2015, Meadowood was the nicest and most economical. We have never regretted our decision. I am very positive about Meadowood. Just when I think Meadowood couldn’t do anything more for us, they do something more. Meadowood has a heart and a soul. The residents care about each other, and management puts on tributes to residents that bring tears to my eyes. People who have arrived say, “We chose Meadowood, because when we visited, everyone was so warm and welcoming.” It is a premier place; it has no rivals. People a lot smarter than I am chose Meadowood, so I must have done something right. From my observations, the employees love working for Meadowood. They have encouraged their parents and grandparents to move here. The campus is beautiful. Our apartment is perfect for us, but Meadowood has accommodations to fit everyone’s taste. There are activities to appeal to everyone. I could go on and on. Tom Friend
Beyond Meadowood having the complete Senior Living package of accommodations, great dining, special events, wonderful welcoming residents, plus medical support as required, the entire staff has not forgotten "who took them to the dance." Joining the Community is a continuing exposure to the caring staff striving to enhance the Journey at Meadowood. Definitely a Five Star Experience!
Meadowood is a peaceful, beautiful senior living community with all the amenities. There are activities to suit all interests and the Health & Wellness program recently won national recognition for excellence. The residents and staff are friendly and engaging. The dining services are excellent, often catering to special events and celebrations. The Health Services are also excellent, providing quality care in all levels from the skilled nursing unit to those in independent living. This summer we will open a state of the art Memory Center. The Administration and Board of Directors are active and responsive while maintaining sound financial management . I moved to Meadowood 3 1/2 years ago and have never looked back!! This is the perfect place for me to live!
Though we loved our home at Whitpain Farm, we decided that moving to a life plan community "5 years too soon rather than 5 year too late" a wise choice. The mission defines Meadowood; residents are encouraged to live in a manner they find comfortable. For us, that means continuing our active lifestyle in beautiful surroundings and enjoy fine amenities, including the comfort of wonderful health care should we ever need it. What priceless peace of mind! We continue to play golf, travel and enjoy activities with long standing friends. An added bonus, new Meadowood friends and activities. Life is good!
