My mother-in-law lives at Aberdeen. The other day I met Billal for the first time & he informed me that he does the maintenance at Aberdeen. I have noticed him in the past helping someone in a wheelchair or holding a door open for someone and I thought what a kind man. I talked to him the other day and told him I feel that Aberdeen should be very honored to have someone of his caliber working here there. He always does a good job has a great attitude, is a very positive individual. I wanted management to be aware of the efficiency that this man displays. I told BilIal I was going to write a review & he thanked me many times. I hope whoever reads this will understand how fortunate this organization is to have such a kind and gifted individual.
Our family visited several communities and we were all in agreement that Aberdeen Crossing was the perfect fit for my mother in law. Dan Cody is extremely compassionate and we felt he would insure a smooth transition. We chose a room, placed a deposit and then unfortunately circumstances changed and we needed to let Dan know we could not proceed. He was at a conference but still found time to call me and discuss this. He was so persistent to follow up to make sure we received the refund. The feeling our family had from our visit and contact with Dan is the reason I am writing this review and highly recommend Aberdeen Crossing. Dan is compassionate, truly cares about each resident and Aberdeen Crossing and the residents are extremely fortunate to have him there.
I recently performed at Aberdeen in the Activities Department a few weeks back. It was a wonderful fun time with all these amazing residents. It is always my goal to make sure that I leave with everyone feeling happy....but the real secret is that they all make me feel happier! It was an honor to spend the hour with them. I do perform at other places and I have only heard good things about Aberdeen in conversation with other folks that have family situations. This is very important to hear. I do not take these things lightly for I feel the Assisted Living world needs more attention from society. Too many people have opinions and never take the time to really help or spend time with their loved ones. Folks that can't take care of their loved ones at home need to understand that this is a very important community. This is their every day life. I know some may read this and say, "well she only spent a small amount of time for the first time." Like anything else when one has been doing this for some time, a person can tell if things aren't up to par as soon as you walk in a place, for the first time, or more often. Aberdeen is so clean and welcoming. What really stood out was the folks that worked when I was there and they all are very proud of what they do and have a great work ethic towards each other as well! That is so important!! After all, you work with each other every day...it is great to be there for each other. Win! Win! The folks that work here are very caring. I can tell by the residents that I met that they are very comfortable. I take the time to observe and especially when they don't know who I am. While I was packing up to leave, I had the honor to speak to a few folks as well. These are real people, folks...never forget that. Thank you so very much for what you do every day...to every worker no matter what department or status. Diane Ramos
From the moment we first walked in, we knew this was the right place for our loved one. The staff here truly go above and beyond—not only providing excellent medical care, but also showing genuine compassion and respect every single day. Yes, I see reviews that say it needs and update but the environment is warm, clean, and inviting, with plenty of engaging activities that keep residents active and social. We’ve noticed such an improvement in our loved one’s mood, health, and overall quality of life since moving in. Communication with the staff is always prompt and reassuring, which gives our whole family peace of mind. We’re so grateful for the safe, caring, and supportive home they’ve created here.
EDIT: the company's response states they have tried contacting me multiple times by phone, but this is entirely false. Jocelyn and Beth have ignored my 13 attempts to reach them in the last month, and I invite them to provide proof indicating otherwise. The only phone call I got was after escalating it to the owner of the company, at which point Beth called to tell me that they will not be addressing my concerns since my parents have passed. The response also falsely claims that the ombudsman found no problems, yet they are the ones who recommended I report the medication mistake to the dept of health. I strongly advise against sending your loved one to Aberdeen. The administration and nursing director have been extremely unprofessional, irresponsible, immature, and have put residents at risk with their actions and frequent medication and nursing mistakes. Their communication with families is terrible and they cannot be trusted. After my mom passed away, I reached out to them with some concerns regarding her care and staff behavior in her dying days, and multiple administrators entirely ignored me for several weeks, with no explanation. In addition to the care concerns, one of the issues I was inquiring about was that their refund check bounced and was short $1,000. I finally got a response - only after escalating it to the owner of the entire company - at which point Beth Landers, the regional VP, told me that since my parents have passed away, they no longer have to communicate with me, and they will not be addressing my concerns. I was stunned at the complete lack of professionalism, care, and compassion. She didn't even do so much as offer her condolences on the passing of my mother.
