my experience has been very positive. If there was ever anything that I did not like or agree with I brought it to the attention of the staff who corrected things right away for me. There really isn’t much negatives. I just really like it here. It’s nearer a bus that takes me to my dialysis which is The most boring Thing I have to do.
The first person I felt with was on top of things then she left and I became ill which I struggled to get answers when I called. My daughter started helping me and she did not get calls back in a timely manner.
This is a review on my sister that recently became a "family" member at the Brookdale memory care unit. She was very hesitant to go to a home ; did not want to sell her home of 30+ years. This was a tough decision for our family; was it the right time? how do we select the home? What services do we look for in the home? What's the difference in assisted living and memory care unit? We made the decision, after visiting 5 other homes, that Brookdale was our choice. We liked the services in memory care unit; the room floor plan; activities for residents , overall facility size and accessibility and the overall caring attitude of management and staff at all levels. Within a few weeks she was calling me to tell me how HAPPY she is. They keep her very active with exercise, games, music --always with the team These are exact quotes from her "I love this home and all employees are wonderful." "This was the best decision ever made for me". "I now have close friends and a best friend" "hows the sale of my home going?" "I feel so much better and stronger-" (physical activity and therapy). Well, she was right--we made the best decision for her Now she is Happy and we are Happy as well. I feel Brookdale/Clare Bridge is well prepared to meet the increasing levels of care as she progresses through the different stages of disease
As an agency nurse, I want to express my appreciation for this facility. Having worked in various places, I can confidently say that this building stands out for its cleanliness and organization. There are no unpleasant odors, which greatly enhances the environment. Additionally, the staff is exceptionally kind and helpful. It's evident that the residents are the top priority here, as they rightfully should be.
When confronted with a negative review, Brookdale promptly offers an apology and provides a contact number you can call to have your feedback ignored. Dear Brookdale, consider this a (rhetorical) negative review. I have personally communicated with every individual at your facility, including the person on the other end of your keyboard right now. I am sharing this account on behalf of my father, who has experienced two heart attacks, undergone a double bypass, battles Parkinson’s, had a blood clot in the lung, and most recently, is grappling with Dementia, for whom I serve as the caregiver. Here's the sequence of events: During the application process, a skilled nurse assesses the health and well-being of the applicant. A ✔️ from the nurse indicates compatibility with the Assisted Living community. This information is then conveyed to the nurse's superior, and upon their ✍️, the keys to the apartment are handed over. I obtained the keys and spent five consecutive days transporting furniture across Northeast Ohio, arranging my dad's new residence, cleaning, scrubbing, decorating, and personalizing the space with curtains, plants, and display cases for his classic model car collection and family photographs. As I put the finishing touches on my dad's apartment, stocking his mini fridge with his favorite iced coffee, a knock on the door informs me that my dad is not a suitable fit for the Brookdale Assisted Living community, and consequently, cannot reside there. The nurse with the ultimate decision was on vacation during my dad's transition into Brookdale, never officially approving his presence. Despite this, admissions allowed my dad to proceed and assured me everything was finalized. Upon the head nurse's return, she reviewed my father's records, marked him with a ❌, and declared him unsuitable for their facility. This doesn't bother me; he's not a good fit, and that's acceptable. What concerns me is that I invested considerable effort in settling my dad before being informed. The problem lies in Brookdale deviating from their standard admissions process and breaching our contract, a fact they may acknowledge. I am drained — emotionally, financially, and in terms of time. Brookdale, you've not only consumed my resources but also taken away my dad's hopes, health, and future. This serves as a (rhetorical) negative review. I've spoken with every individual at your facility, including the person on the other end of your keyboard right now.
