Brookdale Skyline-Alr

The first time I ever toured on property at Brookdale Skyline I was absolutely floored. The campus is so lovely and in a perfect location. All of the staff I interacted with were so friendly and helpful and I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone I know that’s looking for assisted living. Also they have the sweetest birds in the lobby ☺️

My husband is there for rehab after being very ill. So far, he has had no rehab done & his roommate gets to watch TV at top volume, while the staff is making my husband watch TV with subtitles. And they also went thru his stuff. He's not dementia, he's not a junkie, yet they insisted on going thru his stuff, throwing his medications into his bag without the lids on, so now I get to try to figure out what's what for 7 bottles. He can't get a blanket or a simple glass of water from the staff. They say they'll get it, walk away, & aren't seen again till hours later. I don't know how the are for their other services, but I very highly do NOT recommend this place for their rehab services. Do not send your relatives here. If they start treating him better, I'll change my review, but as of right now, I'm furious with them.

This place is declining fast. When we first moved a relative in a few years ago, it was very different. They had a secure gate which was something that we felt was important. They have removed that security now and anyone can just walk into these buildings at any hour. It is not secure at all here. When we questioned why they removed the guard, we were told that they never had a security guard. Literally gaslighting and lying. Once they get you in, they skyrocket the rent every year. It has almost doubled in 4 years. Absolutely no communication. We have called and left messages to the executive director and they do not return calls. They have a pretty extreme turnover of employees. Do not bring your loved one to live here!!

Our journey at Brookdale Skyline has started off being so wonderful. Tomas who is the Director of Sales is so very attentive, kind, understanding and supportive to what our needs are for my Father in law. The property is massive with beautiful views of Garden on the Gods and downtown Colorado Springs. The residents that we came across seemed so lovely and eager to share their experiences at Skyline. All positive. Any questions that we forgot to ask during our visit/tour we called Tomas and he answered right away with such an uplifting voice and took extra care of us. My father in law has not lived at Brookdale Skyline long but he has adapted well and is thriving. We look forward to seeing more of this from him and to getting to know more of the Skyline team.

My father is a resident at Brookdale Skyline residing in independent living. He has been happy and content, the staff is very helpful and treat him with dignity and grace no matter the situation. I always walk away from any interactions feeling they all genuinely care about my dad and his well being! Recently we made the decision to move my dad to assisted living after a health issue. The staff especially "Brook" were extremely catering and reassuring during the entire process. Knowing that that paper work and logistics of the move were being handled was very reassuring and allowed us to concentrate on getting my dad the care he needed. Our experience with Brookdale Skyline facilities and staff has been all around excellent! Thank you!
