About
YOUR HOME ON THE HARBOR is a state-licensed Adult Family Home: Non-Medicaid in Freeland, WA. We are a licensed Speciality Home for Dementia Care and are in good standing with the Department of Social and Health Services. Our records are electronically documented for increased accuracy and safety for our Residents. Our medications are packaged and identified along with doctor's orders by a pharmacy that only services adult family homes.
Your Home on the Harbor has a registered nurse on-call 24/7 for consultation regarding health and medication changes of our residents. She is available to provide long-term care assessments and annual updates unless there is an event that needs assessment so family and resident are confident in the ability of the staff to adequately provide for those needs. She also provides delegation and oversite for medication administration, nursing assessment and tasks that normally are not allowed by anyone other than a registered nurse.
Our caregivers are trained and certified meeting all minimum requirements as set forth by Washington Administrative Code (WAC). Each has had Washington State Background checks but also have FBI Fingerprinting backgound discovery. CPR/1st Aid, Dementia and Mental Health certifications, Nurse Delegation and Food Handlers. Health checks prior to hire.
Your Home on the Harbor supports each level of care from independent thru hospice. Our caregivers are known for their dedication, compassion, understanding and skills in end of life situations. Hospice of the Northwest and Whidbey Health Hospice support our residents during times of transition.
We prefer a non-smoking home.
Please, when exploring the best options for your loved one or for yourself, kindly contact the facility directly to receive the most accurate information and ensure that you or your loved one does not become a sales lead in an online database. Online referral brokers receive large commissions for placing your loved one in a facility or referring them to a home care agency who is willing to pay for the referral. Since not every facility or agency is willing to pay thousands of dollars for your loved one's contact information, it is uncommon for referral brokers to provide families with all available options or with the best rates.
