The Bristal at Garden City

When my sister-in-law needed help in July and I was looking for an assisted living facility that would admit her within our admittedly limited time frame and accept her cat, The Bristal at Garden City bent over backwards to help us. Everyone went out of their way to make this happen for us and I couldn’t be more grateful. Recently she had a hospital and rehab stay and when it was time to return to the Bristal that same commitment to a caring community was front and center. You can’t have a better recommendation than an Alzheimer’s patient who couldn’t remember that she lived there before but could remember the people who cared for her and was so happy to see them again, then you know they really make a difference in the lives Of their residents.

The Bristol at Garden City was an incredible experience for my dad when he came to stay with me in NY. Tiffany and Rachel made the whole process smooth and easy, the staff was friendly and kind, the grounds are fantastic and offer a variety of events and activities that my dad really enjoyed. I hope my dad gets to find back and stay even longer next time! Very grateful, can’t say enough good things about this place and my dad’s time there. Thank you!

What is going on with the negative comments about the Memory Care in Garden City! My husband has been there for 1 1/2 years in Memory Care and I couldn’t be any happier! He is being well cared for and they have plenty of stimulation and activities for the residents. And I know this for a fact since I am there everyday and at different times of the day. No one is neglected. They treat the residences with kindness and respect. The facility is very clean and well cared for. We love the Director of Reflections, Amanda! She cares for every resident there and gives each of them her personal attention! I must admit that in the beginning of we had to iron out a few things but management was very receptive and took action to correct them. You have to communicate with staff/management with any issues arising in order to rectify the problem. I am very impressed and very happy to have my husband at the Bristal in Garden City!

I recently had the opportunity to visit The Bristal to visit a dear friend. I must say it exceeded my expectations. The facility is impeccably clean, creating a welcoming environment. The staff’s dedication and compassion toward residents were evident, providing exceptional care. The overall service reflects a commitment to the well-being of residents. I highly recommend this nursing home for its outstanding facilities and caring staff.

Our Aunt is in the memory care unit at Garden City. We are extremely happy about the attention she receives from the entire staff. Communication has been very good since she arrived in May. They ask detailed questions about the individual to try and make them comfortable. Memory needs are a challenging group and the staff do an excellent job directing this group. I can see how kind they treat everyone. Also, passing through to the Assisted Living side, I had the pleasure of attending a concert one afternoon. The staff were cheerful and helped to make the event a success for all. I can see that outside events are planned, if the residents want to attend. The food prepared looks delicious. If I have any concerns, Wellness has been quick to provide assistance. We are very happy with our choice to use the Bristal Garden City.
