AVITA OF NEWBURYPORT

My dear cousin Betty has been at Avita for a little over four months. My husband and I were concerned about making the best choice for her as we had seen several facilities during our search for memory care and had been extremely disappointed by what we found. From our first meeting with Alison, we were surprisingly pleased by what we experienced. The friendliness, kindness and compassion that we felt from all of the staff members as well as the facility's attractive, open and comfortable community spaces gave us the encouragement that we needed. Despite her struggles with the dementia, Betty has loved being at Avita. She loves the socialization which she had missed both at home in the previous four years since losing her license as well as at a previous facility which didn't provide adequate support for her. She feels at home at Avita and loves the staff as well as the other residents. With her care designed to meet her individual needs, she has gained the confidence that she can be herself here. She loves the ongoing activities including the live music that brings her joy and strengthens the already strong sense of community here at Avita. We couldn't be more relieved and thankful to have Betty being cared for in such a genuinely loving and professional environment!

My dog and I have been visiting residents regularly for the past two years and feel welcomed by everyone, staff and reception. Residents are engaged, love giving dog treats and are very comfortable. Ir’s like a friends and family event. We visit in the late afternoon after everyone has had a full day of activities; local field trips, musical guests, games, baking and crafts. Plus manicure visits! The common spaces are lovely and consistently decorated for the season/holiday. And the staff is aware, extremely caring and nurture each resident. I would be very comfortable having a friend or relative move to Avita.

My mother has been at Avita Newburyport for about 5 months. I have found everyone there to be professional, attentive and caring. Our experience has been exactly as they described in the tour. Everyone is friendly, helpful and joyful everyday.

I have been a mobile x-ray tech for 8+ years and i would just like to say out of all the facilities I visit on a daily basis Avita Newburyport is one of the best! The staff is always friendly and helpful. Mary and Eileen at the front desk always greet me with a smile and make my visits easy and smooth helping me to check in and locate residents. The help and friendly demeanor doesn't stop at the front door. There are countless friendly/happy CNA's willing to show me to the resident's rooms and this goes a long way in my field! The staff's happiness and willingness to help speaks volumes about the work environment and over all morale in the neighborhoods. It is refreshing to see! I have never had a bad experience here and if god forbid my parent had to go into a home they would be first on my list! Kudos Avita Newburyport for the dedication to your residents and visitors!

I have been extremely pleased with Avita since the day I walked in with my sister trying to find a new memory care facility for both by parents who have dementia. The ENTIRE staff, from top to bottom are so capable, nice, helpful, informative and fantastic!! The communication has been top notch. It is really nice to call with a question or concern and have it answered immediately. As for the facility, it is beautiful and nicely maintained. The programs for the residents they have all day are really great as well. Both my parents engage and are interactive. The staff wants to make sure the residents are engaged and participating. You can definitely tell all the residents are cared for really well and the people working at Avita love being there. I would highly recommend Avita!!!
