Highgate Senior Living

Highgate is an inviting, calm, and welcoming community. My family member was greeted by name from the start, was invited and escorted to meals and activities, was seated with others, and received help as needed. After a short time, my family member was talking enthusiastically about people, activities, and events and was navigating independently. New relationships are being formed while old ones continue. It has been a very positive move.

My name is Melissa and my family was looking for a place to care for my mother after she fell and broke her hip. She is 96 years old. After a lot of research and visiting many senior care homes and larger assisted living facilities I was able to see Highgate Senior Living facility in Hazel Dell. Mike showed me around and immediately I felt the warmth that came from every one I met. All the care givers called the residents by name as we passed people in the halls. It was obvious they were compassionate and caring. The place is clean and the food is good with many choices. The staff is professional and they interact with the residents just like they are all a family. My mother has been living at Highgate for a week now and she loves it. She goes to the exercise classes and attends many of the activities offered. The CNA’s and nurses know her and are interested in her life. They are amazing and work very hard to make sure my mother is happy and well taken care of. I highly recommend Highgate Senior Living to anyone looking for a excellent place fir their loved ones.

We were searching for a better fit for my mother to include a warm environment and more social interaction and made the best decision to move her to The Cottage at Highgate. The administrative staff is very supportive and easy to work with and the team of caregivers in the memory care unit are wonderful and attentive. We also appreciate the training opportunities offered for family members to better understand memory loss. My mom has made friends with the other residents and enjoys the variety of fun activities. There is never a dull moment in The Cottage! Whenever we have a request, the staff quickly responds and works with us to ensure that she is happy and comfortable. The team is highly trained in managing the different stages of memory loss while providing compassionate care. Thank you, Mike Davis, Ananda, Andrew, Brooke, Rose, Mike (The Cottage Activities Director), Linda (the sweet hairdresser in the salon), housekeeping staff, kitchen staff, facilities, and each and every fabulous caregiver that looks after my mom. The love and care you provide does not go unnoticed. Beautiful facility, incredible people. I highly recommend Highgate for any level of senior care.

Our family has been so impressed with Highgate since we decided to relocate our mom there from another area of Washington. The welcoming smiling faces of the helpful staff who really seem to enjoy their jobs. The lovely grounds and spotless interior and let's not forget the wonderful food! Everything exceeded our expectations. Mom is now a happy camper at Highgate and we couldn't be more thrilled.

My experience here has been wonderful! From speaking to Mike and Ananda to working with Brooke regarding my grandmas care. The care partners are always working with my grandma to make sure that she’s taken care of. I am grateful that I do not have to worry about my grandma.
