Hinds Hospice - Fresno is a Medicare-certified hospice provider serving Fresno, California and surrounding areas. A Medicare-certified hospice provides comfort care and support services to patients with terminal illnesses and their families. Hospice care focuses on quality of life rather than curative treatment.
Hospice care is available to patients whose physician certifies they have a terminal illness with a life expectancy of six months or less if the illness runs its normal course. Patients may receive hospice care at home, in a hospice facility, nursing home, or hospital.
Medicare-certified hospices must provide all four levels of hospice care: routine home care, continuous home care for periods of crisis, general inpatient care for symptom management, and inpatient respite care to give caregivers a break. Care is provided by an interdisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and trained volunteers.

Sorry this took me awhile to send this. Still very hard to talk about without tears streaming. Not enough words of how thankful and grateful i was with them. Taking care of my Dad from September to his passing in April. Too many tears and absolutely loved Kerrie, Mya and Mike and everyone else..couldn't have managed without them, absolutely amazing with my Dad. Much love and thanks
We used Hinds and have had a great experience so far. Not only do they have a music therapist that comes twice a month who plays guitar and sings, their social work team even helped find a smaller assisted living facility that was a better fit for my mom’s increasing care needs. I can’t say enough good things about the nurses, social workers and the rest of the care team!

As a former volunteer in my youth to a recipient of service now for my own mother , I respect its thoughtful growth and development to serve. Hinds Hospice is amazing! We initially contacted another well known agency when seeking an emergent evaluation for an elderly family member, but never received a call back. Hinds Hospice was responsive, thorough, courteous and had an RN out the same afternoon. All of the staff, from the visiting RN to on call triage RN have been so supportive and kind, and continue to go above and beyond to support our family and loved one through this time.
Not only did I work with these wonderful people, I also had the pleasure of having the compassionate help of a caring and loving team of nurses, social workers, chaplain and medical director. This team of professionals kept me grounded while taking care of my mother and keeping her comfortable until her death. I cannot say enough about Hinds Hospice. I am forever indebted to them.
