"To anyone who thinks about attending this place please proceed with caution! I had an overwhelmingly bad experience. I'm not saying that everyone is going to have a bad experience but please proceed with caution. I just got discharged this morning from Rivervista Behavioral Hospital. I went in Saturday night late. The intake process was unbearably a long process that should not have taken as long as it did. I didn't get up to my floor until a little after three am. I went in because my anxiety was off the charts and I could not get myself to calm down. I kept asking them for something to calm me down. To no avail they gave me nothing while checking myself in. I did not take my night medications before I went in which I should of which I now regret. They did not give me any of my night medications. The experience was so traumatic that one of my alters came out. Which one of the technicians met and talked too. I barely remember that next day. My husband who is my medical power of attorney. Who had been trying to get a hold of people while I was staying here would not return his call. I put this in my chart that I had this. It took until Tuesday to get all my medications straight. The majority of the nursing staff does not read the patient charts completely. I "as a patient" had to remind them that I only took one of my medications a certain dosage in the morning and at night. One nurse had to use a pill finder on her phone because she had no idea which one it was after I kept telling her which one it was. She finally looked at me and told me I was right. "
