Requirements Current PPD 2 step shot (Onslow County Health Dept.) • Current Drivers License • Reliable Transportation • Random Drug Screen • Competency Skills Test • Criminal Background Check • Blood borne pathogen certification • Hepatitis B Vaccine series or signed declination • Adult CPR certification • 18 years or older • High school diploma or GED • Minimum of (3) years experience Job Description Caregivers will provide companionship, sitter or respite care. Provides services developed by the Staffing Coordinator, including but not limited to: • Prepare simple meals / snacks. • Recreational diversion, i.e., reading, games. • Provide companionship / emotional support. • Shop/run errands. • Arrange appointments. • Accompany/Transport client to appointments, outings and errands. 2. Organizes tasks in a safe and efficient manner with indirect supervision. 3. Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor. 4. Completes required documentation. 5. To participate in training sessions as required by the agency. 6. Participates in quality improvement activities if assigned. PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS (With or Without the Aid of Mechanical Devices): 1. Must be able to move intermittently throughout the work day. 2. Must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner. 3. Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position. 4. Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of the position can be fully met. 5. Must function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with clients, personnel, and support agencies. 6. Must be in good health and demonstrate emotional stability. 7. Must be able to lift groceries, etc., not in excess of forty (40) pounds. 8. Must not present a direct threat to the safety or health of the employee or others.
