Description Brook Stone Living Center is a locally owned skilled nursing facility with 80 skilled and 20 assisted living beds. We are looking for a qualified Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide daily assistance to our residents. You will help them with their basic needs and collaborate with medical professionals to achieve excellent patient care. We are seeking an individual that is a committed and compassionate professional. PURPOSE: Render personal care and assisting with activities of daily living for residents to maintain the optimum level of comfort and normalcy of their daily living. Ability to follow through instruction and direction from supervisor. RESPONSIBILITIES: Give bed bah, showers, whirlpool baths and shampoos Give oral hygiene and special mouth and skin care Measure and record intake and output Answer call lights promptly Help patients in and out of bed and wheelchairs Take vital signs Feed patients Clean off bedside tables and straighten rooms Make beds Give and remove bedpans and urinals and clean after use Administer range of motion exercises Assist in prevention of decubiti by turning and repositioning Give personal care and special perineal care with foley catheter Perform postmortem care procedures Practice reality orientation with patients Assist patients who are blind and otherwise disables Care for patients in isolation Fill water pitchers and serve snacks Assist patients to and from activities Observe and report changes in a patient’s condition Assume other duties assigned as determined by educational qualifications and training Complete documentation in PCC accurately and before leaving shift Ambulate residents and use gait belts Know the general procedures for safe lifting Be aware of residents’ care plan goals Be aware of working in a safe environment Other tasks as assigned by Director of Nursing or Administrator Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: Must have current NC C.N.A. certification Must be of good physical and mental health Must be able to cooperate with other employees Must be dependable Hourly Rate: $14 plus hazard pay Benefits $14 an hour plus hazard pay Shift Differential Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401 K
