Our Assisted Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Medication Technician to provide help to Residents. In this role, you will provide care services to Residents while maintaining their safety and comfort.
Additional responsibilities include:
· Assisting residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
· Assist Residents with their ADL's and the administration of their medications
· Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all Residents while following company policies and procedures
· Follow Medication Administration Records (MAR) and doctors’ orders
· Ensures that patient prescription needs are met in a timely manner.
· Escorting residents to meals and recreational activities
· Supporting Residents in achieving their highest level of physical, emotional, and psycho-social well-being
· Helping out as needed in the Resident Services area to ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of our Residents
· Follow all policies and procedures, adhering to instructions of the Administrator
Qualifications:
· Certified Nursing Aide. Personal Care Attendant, First Aid and/or CPR certifications
· Experience with Alzheimer's and Dementia patients a plus
· Must be able to speak and read in English
· Previous experience with the geriatric population preferred, providing assistance with ADLs
· Ability to follow instructions and establish personal care routine
· Basic understanding of dementia; patience and tact in redirecting Residents
· Ability to adjust to different personality types and situations
· Must be reliable, caring, and gentle
· Ability to provide abiding respect for the elderly and to remain calm at all times
