The duties of the Certified Nurse Aide include: Respect the rights and dignity of the residents at all times; Provide personal care to the residents and assure that all of their daily needs are being met; Perform proper skin care procedures including bathing, decube prevention, shaving, etc.; Provide proper oral care; Assist residents with dressing, assuring that clothing is appropriate to season and occasion; Assist residents to meet all daily nutritional and fluid needs including transporting residents to and from dining areas and assisting with nutritional and fluid intake as needed; Assist in providing a safe environment for residents including the safe transferring and ambulation of residents according to policies and procedures; Properly follow all procedures related to infection control and universal precautions including hand washing, handling of linens, etc.
