Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Description
• Provide direct patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, positioning, lifting, moving, and repositioning safely, using proper body mechanics or equipment (e.g., lift devices) to prevent injury.
• Monitor residents' physical and emotional well-being and report any changes to the nursing staff.
• Assist with feeding and hydration as required, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Help with ambulation and provide support for residents to maintain independence.
• Maintain cleanliness of residents' living areas, including making beds and tidying up rooms.
• Assist with maintaining patients' personal hygiene, including oral care, skin care, and hair care.
• Observe and document residents' conditions, behaviors, and responses to care, reporting concerns to nurses.
• Ensure patient comfort by providing regular repositioning, adjusting equipment, and answering call lights promptly.
