Temporary Companion/Sitter – In-Home Child Care (Clarkston)

Location: Clarkston / Stone Mountain, Georgia Job Type: Temporary (1-week assignment) Schedule: July 28-August 1 2025; Monday-Friday 7:30am-2:30pm Job Summary Miralta Home Care is seeking a compassionate and reliable Companion/Sitter to provide basic in-home support for two children with special needs for a short-term, one-week assignment. The role involves providing supervision, engaging the children in simple activities, and assisting with basic tasks such as meal prep. This is a non-medical sitter role (unskilled care). Key Responsibilities Provide safe and attentive supervision at all times Engage children in simple activities (reading, games, calming techniques, etc.) Prepare and serve meals/snacks Assist with basic hygiene support as needed (e.g., handwashing, changing clothes) Maintain a clean and child-safe environment Communicate with the parent or guardian regularly about the child’s needs Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in child care, caregiving, or companion services CPR/First Aid certified preferred Experience with children with disabilities is a plus PCA (Personal Care Assistant) or CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification preferred but not required Requirements Must be at least 18 years old Must pass a criminal background check (required under Georgia regulations) Must be eligible to work in the United States Reliable transportation to and from the family’s home Contact 770-880-3029 or info@miraltahomecare.com if interested.
