Job Responsibilities Provide personal hygiene for elderly patients Assisting with their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating. Check/record vital signs, weight, etc. Assisting patients with their meals, including serving and feeding them if necessary. Adhering to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal requirements. Track and answer call for assistance and observe changes in a patient’s behavior, emotional state, or physical condition. Assist in the maintenance of a clean, tidy, and safe environment by reporting environmental deficiencies including equipment or lighting problems to the charge nurse. Job Skills & Qualifications Required: Must be a licensed/certified CNA or HHA Proof of Certification and licensure Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Physical ability to perform job-related duties Preferred: Experienced general nursing skills
