Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Job Description
PC Home Health is looking for compassionate Caregivers to care for our clients in a professional and loving manner. We only hire committed professional caregivers who love working with the elderly during all hours of the day and night since people who are ill, injured, disabled or elderly are thankful for high-quality assistance. The ideal candidate will be patient and friendly with excellent communication skills. You should be able to follow instructions and perform a variety of tasks to help clients. Responsibilities Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.) Assist clients with personal care and hygiene, i.e. bathing, grooming Plan and prepare meals Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own Be a pleasant and supportive companion Run errands Laundry and linen changes Dependable Report any unusual incidents Act quickly and responsibly in cases of an emergency Skills Proven experience as a caregiver Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards Respectful and compassionate Good time management skills Strong ethics Physical endurance Reliable transportation Valid driver's license / Car Insurance High school diploma or equivalent To keep our caregivers and clients safe, we are issuing masks, gloves and hand sanitizers upon hiring. We also require our staff and caregivers to take daily temperature checks prior to the start of work and before entering a client's home.
