Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Description
Montello Care Center is a non-profit nursing home that has long been the community leader in helping people get back to feeling their best. We are also Marquette County’s only skilled nursing provider. We pride ourselves on providing compassionate, comprehensive and effective long-term and short- term clinical support to the elderly and those with long-term disabilities requiring skilled day-to- day nursing care. We are looking to hire Certified Nursing Assistants CNAs who are wanting to join a team of caring staff that provide exceptional services, in a soothing and healing setting where not only our residents but staff will always feel valued, cared for, supported, appreciated and respected. As a CNA in at Montello Care Center, you will work alongside our skilled and dedicated team of LPNs, RNs, CNAs and other professionals, during a selection of work hours across three shifts. This is a full-time role that requires the ability to lift, push and pull a minimum of 30lbs frequently. As a CNA, you will be caring for our residents throughout your shift with tasks such as but not limited to: Assisting residents with personal hygiene, such as: bathing, grooming, toileting and other needs. Providing ambulatory support Assistance with meals both in designated dining areas and delivering food and beverages to resident rooms throughout the day. Assist residents get to and participate in various activities and scheduled events within the building. Assist skilled clinicians in appropriate clinical practices. Example being vital sign collection and recording. Process a wide range of information from other medical professionals to work with our care team to provide exceptional care. Closely monitor patient data that needs to be shared with key medical staff and record in patient records. Work in collaboration with our staff to ensure a well-rounded daily living experience for our residents. And most importantly, ensure our residents are taken care of throughout the day To apply you will need the following: A current Certified Nursing Assistant Certification through the State of WI Current CPR Certification (American Heart Association) Basic Computer Skills The ability to think and work with a team as well as independently with direction from a team leader or manager while always maintaining efficient and consistent communications. Must also have excellent oral communication skills when speaking with other professionals, our residents and their families. Can endure high pressure situations in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment and keep a calm, professional demeanor throughout a variety of situations. A Valid Wi Driver’s License Familiar with medical terminology Empathetic and compassionate bedside manor A willingness to learn Be punctual, and willing to help where needed.
