Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Description
Heritage Senior Living is looking for compassionate Caregivers/Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to provide quality care to residents during our PM/afternoon-evening shift

Caregivers and CNAs are responsible for providing high-quality care to residents per their individualized service plan. Caregivers and CNAs attend to our residents’ individual needs, assist with activities of daily living, coordinate work within the department, promptly report pertinent information to the immediate supervisor, and maintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity of our residents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide quality care to residents in an environment that promotes their rights, dignity, freedom of choice, and individuality
Provide individualized attention, which encourages each resident’s ability to maintain or attain the highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being
Read and understand individualized service plans (ISPs) for each resident and provide support to the residents per their service plan
Contribute to the service planning process by providing information and observations of the residents’ needs and preferences
Attend to residents’ individual needs, including assistance with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, eating, incontinence care, toileting, colostomy care, prosthetic appliances, transferring, ambulating, range of motion, communicating or other care needs as identified in residents’ ISPs
Observe residents for changes in condition or behavior and promptly report these changes to the supervisor
Promptly answer and courteously respond to residents’ pages and alarms
Maintain residents’ comfort, privacy, and dignity in the delivery of services
Interact with residents in a warm, kind, and caring manner
Complete records documenting the care provided or other information in keeping with department policies
Fully understand all aspects of residents’ rights, including the right to be free of restraints, abuse, neglect, misappropriation of property, and financial exploitation
Responsible for promptly reporting incidents or evidence of resident abuse or violations of residents’ rights
Assist in maintaining a safe, neat, clean environment and report environmental deficiencies such as lighting or equipment problems to the supervisor
Protect residents’ personal belongings, including eyeglasses, dentures, hearing aids, furnishings, jewelry, clothing, medications, and money
Immediately report lost, missing, or stolen items per established policies and procedures and participate in efforts to locate items
