Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Description
CNA Job Description Education: High School diploma or equivalent Current state certificate Experience: Minimum one year of experience as CNA in supervised setting within the past 3 years. Duties and Responsibilities: Performing procedures for which the Aides training has provided the necessary skills. Inform Clinical Director of changes in client's condition. Document care given, observations and treatments. Comply with policies and procedures. Ensure that client's equipment, supplies and belongings are safeguarded. Provide personal care to include: oral care including dentures assistance with personal hygiene skin care including foot care and back-rubs Bathing (shower, bed or sponge) AM PM care Feeding Turning and positioning Assisting clients with ambulation with/without assistant devices Make bed (occupied and unoccupied) Offering bedpans and urinals Collecting urine and stool specimens as directed Measuring and recording I & O Tanking and recording BP, temperature, pulse and respiration Maintaining clean and safe environment for clients Ensure and protect clients' rights and maintain confidentiality The following tasks are considered essential functions of the position" Lifting unspecified weights, depending on assignment requirements. Bending and stooping to prepare equipment and materials for treating/managing client's environment. Transferring, turning and positioning clients and assisting clients in walking and moving from place to place. Supervision: The CNA is under the direct supervision of the assigned RH or LPN with oversight by the Clinical Director. Benefits discussed at time of interview.
