Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Description
Job Summary: Responsibilities: • Create and oversee office policies. • Organize office operations. • Supervise office staff. • Maintain office records. • Ensure office efficiency. • Maintain filing system and other records. • Maintain overall appearance of office. Qualifications: LPN with a minimum of six months experience in a health care setting, with knowledge of ICD10 High School Diploma or GED, with at least a minimum of two years related experience and/or training. LPN Experience in home care or knowledge of the health care industry preferred. Requires proficiency in word processing and computer skills. Must possess and demonstrate excellent communication skills, leadership skills, organizational skills, and customer service techniques. Must perform and manage multiple responsibilities concurrently and work well under pressure Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and/or weekends as needed, requested, or assigned. Must be able to recognize, support, and adhere to all AHHCI policies and procedures. Able to receive direction and independently follow tasks through with minimum supervision. Demonstrate excellent critical thinking skills. Must be able to operate basic office equipment necessary to performance of duties, i.e. fax, copier, multi-phone lines, and computer. Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely. Must be able respond to others, patients, and co-workers, in a caring, calm, and supportive manner Maintains professional integrity throughout performance of all job duties, demonstrates exemplary work ethic. Upholds attendance and performance standards. Able to adhere to the practice of confidentiality regarding patients, families, staff, and the organization. Able to serve as a positive representative of AHHCI at all times. Able to act in a kind, decent, and respectful manner at all times. Essential Functions: Answers the telephone and performs Medicare/Medicaid, HMOs, MCOs, etc Intakes. Participates in the hiring process for caregivers including processing applications, background screening, testing, interviewing, and reference validation. Track POC and follow ups, update procedures where necessary Records employee information such as personnel data, attendance, performance reviews, evaluations, and termination date and reason. Enters, maintains, and corrects client, employee, payroll, billing and related accounting data into the computer. Orders and maintains office supplies, forms and equipment. Asist in scheduling shifts by matching caregiver qualifications and availability to client’s needs. Participate in supervision of caregivers and completes performance appraisals for caregivers at specified intervals. Facilitates weekly/biweekly or monthly meetings with the Clinical Manager to; evaluates patient progress, identifies options to improve patient care according to standards of practice. Coordinates patient clinical care and collaborates with all other team disciplines in all care settings. Evaluates all Visit Notes for completion, patient/family assignments, staffing patterns, and schedules, including the HHAs biweekly supervision by Nursing staff. Assists in monitoring, implementing Demonstrates integrity and commitment through attention to all above responsibilities while on duty. Arranges for all personal matters after or prior to duty hours, where possible
