Job Description - Caregiver Minimum Qualifications Amethyst Grove Assisted Living is a new upscale 6-bed board and care community in West Roseville specializing in memory care and hospice. We’re looking for intuitive, passionate, hardworking souls who want to make a difference in the world and within the elderly community. Our mission is to raise the standards of the assisted living industry and build a solid team that views each other not just as co-workers, but as family. Experience is great however we are interested in people who have kind hearts and a passion for working with the elderly. Our thinking is if you have that, the training and experience can be built off of that. Be in good health, and both physically and mentally capable of performing the duties which they perform on the job. Be able to read and understand English and have a general understanding of the needs of the elderly and have a willingness to learn. A willingness to accept responsibility for the job duties assigned to them. 
 Job Description - Caregiver Duties Function as a team, assisting coworkers as the need arises. Encouraging and assisting residents with a variety of planned recreational, physical, social, and educational activities. Responding to resident requests. Following safety guidelines in the facility, including proper lifting technique and standard precautions when providing care to the residents. Promoting open communication between health care professionals, families, residents, team members. Observation and supervision of residents. Provide assistance with all activities of daily living and with all personal care including but not limited to grooming, hygiene, and assisting with and encouraging recreational, social, physical and educational activities. Maintaining the facility in a neat, safe and sanitary condition. Assisting residents with their medications as ordered by their physician Care for cognitively impaired residents by using techniques for addressing the unique needs and behaviors of individuals with dementia. Perform food service, duties include: Serving residents meals and snacks and meal and snack cleanup. Perform housekeeping services: Vacuuming, Dusting , Cleaning of bathrooms 
Cleaning of hardwood flooring , resident laundry service. We are looking for the right people who have a special “Amethyst Heart” and we will know it when we meet you.
