Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated CNA/Caregiver/Personal Support Worker to provide essential care and support to a female client who has recently undergone surgery. This position will involve each day for 4 hours shifts and will be based in the client's home. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the client's comfort, safety, and well-being during their recovery period. Responsibilities: Personal Care: Assist the client with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Mobility Assistance: Help the client with mobility, such as transferring to and from the bed, wheelchair, or commode, as well as providing support during short walks. Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks based on the client's dietary restrictions and preferences. Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe living environment for the client, including light housekeeping tasks such as tidying up, laundry, and dishwashing. Companionship: Engage in meaningful conversations, provide emotional support, and engage the client in activities that promote mental and emotional well-being. Monitoring: Keep a watchful eye on the client's condition, reporting any changes or concerns to the client's healthcare team or family members. Qualifications: Previous experience in caregiving or as a personal support worker is preferred. Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR is an asset. Compassion, patience, and strong communication skills are essential. A valid driver's license (if transportation is part of the job) and a clean driving record may be required. Working Hours: This is a part-time position with 4 hours shifts, and the schedule include all seven days including weekends. Please submit your resume and references for consideration.
